Beaded horseshoe weaving pattern. Beaded horseshoe: master class. Horseshoe weaving patterns

Professional holiday Police Day is celebrated in Russia every year on November 10. The modern militia was created relatively recently. But in fact, even Peter the Great was the founder of the public order protection service. Therefore, we can assume that this profession was founded in the distant seventeenth century. In 2011, the militia was renamed the police, but the holiday is still celebrated on a grand scale. Since the police service is very dangerous and difficult, celebrations are organized in different cities to congratulate all the police officers and thank them for their hard work. You can also DIY and present a gift. For example, it could be a beaded horseshoe for good luck. It is about how to weave a horseshoe from beads that will be discussed in this article.

This unique master class is presented by Tatiana Kovaleva and Yulia Morozova. You will need the following list of materials:

  • silver beads;
  • nylon thread;
  • beaded needle;
  • paper clip and lace;
  • scissors, pliers and nippers.

This suspension can be hung in the car or positioned on your working dream. The execution of a horseshoe on Police Day takes place using the square plait technique. Cast on a string of four beads and lock them into a ring, as shown in the photo. Run the thread around the circle a couple of times to secure the workpiece. The square that comes out for you is the base of the harness.

Then you need to weave the side edges. String three beads and pass the needle through the element from which the thread came out. As a result, you get the primary edge. After that, connect the base and the created edge by adding two beads. Now another one has turned out. Take a few more beads and attach the main part to the second face to make the third one as well. To create a fourth piece, also add one bead and join everything together again.

Pull off the craft and you have a cube with four pieces of glass on each side. Take one of the sides as a basis and weave the same four elements, while adding three beads each. Repeat all the steps to create the cube and weave the same second one. Now you have the required harness, which has four sides. Continue braiding until you have made nine squares in the braid.

Straighten a paper clip and bend it using pliers to form a loop in the center, as shown in photo # 10. Next, insert one end of a paper clip into the inside of the braided rope.

Weaving of a gift for the Day of Police from beads continues. You need to make a new cube in such a way that a loop comes out from any of its faces, and a paper clip comes out from the opposite. Weave an additional flagellum, also of nine squares and with the same straightened paper clip inside.

Fasten the threads along the edges of the flagellum and carefully cut off the unnecessary parts of the paper clip with pliers. Use your own hands to shape the garment into a horseshoe shape. Attach the horseshoe to the string and metal ring. Such a gift can be used as a pendant in a car or as a keychain for keys and a mobile phone.

Horseshoe weaving patterns

The weaving technique is called "cross", in principle, weaving is not difficult, but in this master class there will be not only patterns, but also two step-by-step lessons.

The heart can be weaved one, or crossed two and use 2 colors of beads

An illustrative lesson of weaving a heart with an empty space inside

A horseshoe is woven in the same technique, you can also weave a heart shape using the description below!

Silver horseshoe

Materials and tools:

- beads No. 15 silver color - 10 g,
- nylon drink white diameter, 1.2 mm, length 2 m,
- a needle for weaving,
- paper clip,
- lace,
- scissors,
- pliers,
- wire cutters

Completing of the work

We make a horseshoe-shaped suspension from a square braid. To weave it, we string 4 beads on a thread (photo 1) and close them in a ring (photo 2), passing the thread in a circle several times to fix it. The resulting square is the base of the bundle.

Next, weave the side edges. To do this, string 3 beads and pass the needle through the same bead from where the thread came out (photo 3). We got the first facet, then we connect the base and add 2 beads to the resulting facet (photo 4). It turned out the second side of the bundle. We string 2 beads and connect the base and the second side (photo 5) to get the third side of the bundle. To make the fourth facet, add 1 bead and connect the base, the first and third facets (photo 6).

We pull together the woven element. The result is a cube, each side of which consists of 4 beads. We take one face of the cube as a basis and weave also four faces, stringing 3 beads (photo 7). We repeat all the steps of the first cube and carry out the second cube - we got a tourniquet. It has four clear edges (photo 8). We continue weaving, the length of the rope is 9 squares (photo 9).

We straighten the paper clip and bend it with pliers so that a loop forms in the middle (photo 10). We insert one side of the paper clip inside the finished harness (photo 11).
Then we weave the next cube so that a loop emerges from one of its faces (photo 12), and a paper clip from the other (photo 13). We weave another bundle of 9 squares so that the paper clip is inside (photo 14).

We fix the threads at the ends of the tourniquet, carefully cut the paper clip with pliers (photo 15). We give the resulting part a horseshoe shape (photo 16). We attach the horseshoe to the lace by the ring (photo 17).
Suspension for mobile phone ready.

Who and when was the first to collect horseshoes for good luck, of course, is not known. However, such a symbol will be a relevant gift not only in the Year of the Horse, but also for any other holiday. It could be a wedding, housewarming, or even a birthday. Moreover, you can make a beaded horseshoe with your own hands. It can be done in a variety of techniques: from embroidery to beading. The needlewoman only needs to choose her own way.

Beaded horseshoe

Of course, you can use a ready-made scheme to make an embroidered horseshoe. With their help, you can make a small picture or decoration for the interior. But it is much more interesting for experienced needlewomen to make a horseshoe for good luck, guided by their own imagination.

For a horseshoe suspension you will need:

  • 5 malachite cabochons;
  • 4 natural pearls (can be replaced with large beads);
  • Japanese seed beads # 11 and # 15 different shades: green, silver and blue;
  • a piece of felt and leather;
  • green paint and paintbrush;
  • scissors, thread and glue;
  • as well as pin, chain and rings.

Cut off excess felt and sew the edge of the horseshoe with beads

Horseshoe made of square plait

But it is not necessary to use embroidery to make a beaded horseshoe. The weaving pattern of such a craft is very simple, if you take an ordinary square plait as a basis.

To work you will need:

  • 10 g of beads No. 10 of any color;
  • 2m nylon thread;
  • bead needle;
  • paper clip.

Such a horseshoe can be woven from beads

  1. First you need to make a square base. For this, 4 beads are strung and connected into a ring. To hold everything together, thread the thread through the beads several times.
  2. Now cast on the thread 3 more beads and thread the needle through the same bead with which weaving began. This will be the first facet. Then put on 2 more beads and tie them together with one bead from the first bead and base.
  3. Next, you need to string 2 more beads on the thread and thread the needle through the beads of the second face and the base. The third side of the square is ready. It remains only to collect one bead and connect it to the second and third edges and the base of the bundle.
  4. Repeating all these steps, make 9 more such squares. Fasten the rest of the line, and the base for the horseshoe from the square braid is ready.
  5. To hang it up, straighten a regular paper clip. Make a small loop out of it and thread it into the center of the bundle. Then bend in the form of a small horseshoe, and cut off the excess ends. On this horseshoe suspension is ready.

You can braid a blank horseshoe and decorate it with beads

You can make a beaded horseshoe using other techniques as well. For example, you can braid a regular horseshoe in a circle and decorate it with beaded flowers and other fakes.

ATTENTION!!!

The master class is intended solely for acquaintance with the techniques of embroidery and weaving with beads. If you decide to place my MK somewhere, please indicate the authorship and link to my shop. Thanks!

Let's start:).

We will need:

  • a piece of felt and a piece of leather, fabric paint and a paintbrush
  • small cabochons of malachite
  • 2 large and 2 small natural pearls
  • seed beads size 11 and 15 (Japanese) - several shades of silver and 2 shades of green, rainbow blue
  • scissors, thread, glue
  • accessories: pin, chain, rings (or pins with rings)

First you need to paint the white felt green.

Glue the first cabochon in the center and start sewing it. Sew on one bead in the "back needle" method, at the end of the row, pull the thread through the entire row and tighten so that the beads are aligned in one line (as in the diagram)

We get the first row around the cabochon and again draw the thread between the cabochon and the first row.

We also sew the second row over the first and also tighten it. This method is discussed in more detail in my master class.

Now, in the same way "back the needle", I trimmed the contours of the horseshoe with silver beads # 15. It seemed to me more convenient before plating the second cabochon. But, if you prefer, this can be done after you have sewn all the cabochons.

We also sew the second cabochon according to our marks.

Now fill in the space between the two trimmed cabochons. Here you can let your imagination run wild. I used rainbow green # 15 along the cabochon and silver and blue rainbow # 11 for the remaining space.

Now we make the second side symmetrically to the first. We tighten and align the beads so that they lie as flat as possible.

Try on and sew the rest of the cabochons on both sides in the same way.

Now we try on and sew on the pearls.

We sew pearls in a circle using the "back needle" method, first with a light silver color, with the second row with bright green beads. We also do on the second side.

Filling the empty space with beads

Sew a small pearl again in a circle in a "back needle" fashion. Fill in the space between the cabochon and the pearl with rainbow green, silver and rainbow blue beads. We repeat the pattern symmetrically, trying to make it the same as possible (it doesn’t always work, because pearls and cabochons may slightly differ in size).

Now our task is to embroider the "legs" of the horseshoe.

Sew on the blue bead in the corner of the "leg" as shown in the photo. We reinforce it in the very corner with a dark silver bead No. 15.

Draw out the thread approximately in the middle of the "leg" and sew 3 beads: green # 11 + silver # 15 + green # 11

Making a "flower" by sewing on one more green bead # 11.

Fill in the remaining space with dark silver size 15 beads and rows of 11 beads down to a small pearl.

We got such a horseshoe. Now it needs to be carefully cut nail scissors as close to the threads as possible. Be careful not to cut the threads.

Now we hang the malachite bead on the pin. Thread a pin with a flat hat and twist a ring hook. Cut off the remnants of the pin with pliers. From the resulting remainder of the pin, I rolled up such a "booger" J, passed it into the pin ring and I will sew it onto the horseshoe for it. But, a more civilized way is to close the hook by threading a ready-made ring into it 🙂

Sew on the bead at the mark on the inside of the horseshoe. Now we cut off the excess felt along the threads.

Sew on the chain. I have a chain with large rings, so I sew right behind them. If the rings are not large (or, on the contrary, very large), then it is reasonable to first sew on small ready-made detachable rings and thread a chain through them.

After all the elements are attached, it is necessary to glue for rigidity reverse side... To do this, draw a pencil around the outline of our product on cardboard / plastic. And we cut out 1.5-2 mm less than we circled. We spread with glue and glue to the back.

We pass the thread between the base and the leather, string 1 bead, pierce the leather and bring the thread through the base. Now we put the needle into the resulting loop so that the thread is behind the bead, tighten the loop, pushing the bead forward with the thread. Next, we sew all the beads along the edge in the same way (as in the diagram).

In fact, this is a regular overlock stitch, just in each loop there is a bead, which is pulled by the thread forward to the front side.

Having finished the finishing line, we got such a wonderful decoration.

The horseshoe brings good luck and prosperity, and the lunar is a female amulet that helps in all women's affairs.

May this decoration bring you good luck and prosperity in the New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone and thank you for your attention.

No best gift in the year of the Horse, than a horseshoe is a talisman that brings luck and prosperity to its owner. In our master class we will tell you how to make a horseshoe out of beads.

For a horseshoe made of beads, we need:

  • silver beads or golden color No. 15 - 10 g;
  • weaving needle;
  • nylon thread or thin line 1.2 mm thick - 2 m;
  • lace;
  • scissors;
  • pliers;
  • nippers;
  • metal paper clip - 1 pc.

Getting Started

  1. We will make a horseshoe from beads according to the pattern of a square braid. Let's start by stringing four beads on a thread and closing them into a ring. To secure the thread, go around it several times. The square formed as a result of this operation is the base of our bundle.
  2. We move on to weaving the side edges. For the first facet, string 3 beads onto the thread and pass the needle into the same bead from where the thread came out. Then we string 2 more beads on the thread, connecting them with one bead of the base and one bead from the first bead.
  3. Repeating steps 2-3, continue weaving the horseshoe until it is 9 squares long.
  4. In order to hang the horseshoe, we will make a mount from an ordinary paper clip. To do this, straighten a paper clip and bend it with pliers so that a loop is formed in the middle. Insert a paperclip with one side into the braided rope.
  5. Let's continue weaving the horseshoe so that the paper clip is inside the bundle.
  6. Carefully cut off the protruding ends of the staples with the help of nippers. Let's give the tourniquet a horseshoe shape.
  7. Our beaded horseshoe is ready!
