Crochet slippers from hexagons. Crochet hexagons: patterns, hexagonal crochet motifs. Knitting motif basics

Good afternoon friends!

Today we have our last competition work - crocheted boots from hexagons, which was presented again by Larisa Sankevich.

Although these are not exactly slippers, in principle, they are also house shoes. Very nice and easy-to-use comfortable boots with felt soles.

There will be diagrams and descriptions, so you can make yourself such an unusual and stylish shoe.

How to crochet hexagon boots

I used half-woolen yarn, still post-Soviet, with the addition of polyester thread for strength and durability.

Hook - # 4.

The boots are knitted and assembled from hexagonal motifs. In total, you need to knit 10 motives (5 pieces for each boot).

Let's start with them.

Hexagonal motives

The pattern of crocheting boot motifs is in front of you.

In the first three rows, we knit a flower with columns with one crochet.

In the fourth - sixth rows, tying the flower with columns, we get a hexagon.

We knit rows 1, 4-6 with a thread of one color, rows 2 and 3 - another.

The resulting motive goes to size 36-37. If you need more (you can attach it to the finished insole), then I add the height of the loops in 5-6 rows: instead of a half-column with a crochet, I knit a column with a crochet, or I knit another 7th row.

Assembling motives

We sew the motives together with single crochets in the order indicated in the following diagram.

Along the bottom edge of the boot we knit 2 rows with single crochet, and in the stubs between the motifs - with double crochet, on the toe, you need to perform increments of 2 loops in each row.

I make a strapping along the upper edge of the boot.

Sole

As a basis, I take ready-made felt insoles of the right size.

I put on a chain of about 20 loops (depending on the size) and on them I knit an oval in a circle with double crochets (3-4 rows) until the width of the oval becomes equal to the width of the insole.

Then I attach the thread in the middle of the oval and knit in rows back and forth only the sock, trying on the sole to the insole and performing additions where necessary.

The last row is all over the circle to line up the edge of the sole.

I sew the sole to the boot, then turn the boot inside out and sew a felt insole to the sole.

When worn, the built-in insole does not move, does not break. You can also make the soles like in tank-slippers, but I like the purchased insoles more (they come with a rubberized layer and a water-repellent cellophane layer).

These are the wonderful homemade boots made by Larisa from hexagons on a felt sole.

Thank you, Larisa, for participating in the competition and for the wonderful things done with your own pens!

Friends, our competition is over. I really liked him! A little more patience and literally one of these days I will publish the results.

To improve my posture and treat back pain that appeared after a year and a half of dragging my little daughter, I began to do yoga in a sports club.

Someone goes to yoga in beach slippers, someone in sports shoes, and someone just in woolen socks. So I thought to crochet some slippers for this business.

Here is one of the options for their implementation.

There is a continuous benefit: there is no need to carry shoes, and instead of ordinary socks, you can wear these slippers. The fact is that yoga classes are barefoot. And at the end of the lesson, we put on warm socks and sweaters, and lie on the rug for about 10 minutes, listening to music, resting, and someone meditating ... This pose is called a "corpse". If you don't get dressed, then it really looks like.

I saw all sorts of options. But I liked the hexagon slippers because they are not very low and not too high, like socks. Since I did not find a good description for them in Russian, I had to translate. I really wanted to tie them. I have not yet undertaken my own version, only now I have finally made the translation.

It will be necessary.
Acrylic yarn of medium thickness in three colors
Color A - 120 g.
Color B - 60 g.
Color C - 30 g.

The size of the slippers will depend on the choice of the hook:
No. 3.5 - for small (S) about 23 cm,
No. 4 - for medium size (M) about 24 cm,
No. 5 - for large (L) about 25 cm,
No. 5.5 - for very large (XL) approx. 26 cm.

For two slippers, you need to knit six hexagons.

Hexagon.

The color combination of these slippers can be very diverse. From bright, flashy colors, to calm tones selected in the same range.

Fresh, smelling of forest and grass, varietal.

Girlish, chocolate pink with a blue circle.

Juicy with a striped sole.

Slippers turn ...

Slippers turn into elegant socks.

You just need to tie 2 pairs of hexagons.

Slippers can also turn into sneakers. Yeah, if only we had a longer dry weather ...

But with such an exemplar you can amuse your guests and leave everyone with a nose.

Well, and in conclusion, food for thought. After all, such slippers can be knitted from almost any hexagons. And there are so many different kinds of them!

The slippers are very cool! Only the question arose: the sole is quickly rubbed! Maybe this yarn is so unsuitable?

  • elenv writes:

Yes, knitted slippers are unfortunately short-lived. If you use them instead of ordinary slippers, then it is better to strengthen the sole with some material: leather, thick fabric, felt, etc. Wear resistance also depends on the choice of yarn. Coarse wool, cotton will rub less quickly than, for example, wool for knitting sweaters. Often they practice knitting soles from two threads folded together: cotton and woolen.

Thanks a lot for the advice!

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE TRANSLATION !!! VERY COOL Slippers! And what about the sole, you can bandage it at least a thousand times with these slippers!

thank you very much, now I know for sure what to give my friends for the new year

Knitting home shoes is a good old tradition of all knitters. Many continue to support it, annually creating cozy and warm slippers, boots, slates and even fur boots for themselves and their loved ones.

There are several popular ways of making such shoes, which have almost become classics of the genre, but restless designers and craftsmen continue to delight knitters with new developments. One of them is crocheted hexagon slippers. The scheme for creating motives and assembling them is proposed in this article. Examples of color yarn distribution and pattern modification are also provided.

Materials for knitting slippers

In addition to the obvious advantages (originality of finished products, cost savings, realization of creative potential), making shoes for the home is also useful in that it allows you to dispose of the remains of multi-colored and variegated yarn. As a rule, most craftswomen sooner or later discover that they have accumulated a huge amount of skeins, balls and coils. Usually, such yarn has not only different colors, but also composition, and even thickness. The crochet hexagon pattern is great for tying all these strings.

The color can be changed in almost every row, or you can come up with a different system. If there are many small colored glomeruli and one unnecessary skein, then the middle of the hexagons are made variegated, and the last two rows of each motif and the binding of slippers are knitted in the main color. By the way, in the case when it is not possible to clearly distribute the rest of the yarn for knitting the required number of identical fragments, completely different hexagons can be made. The main thing is that the colors are combined with each other, and the strapping is made with thread of the darkest color.

Adherents of the classic style and calm shades will like monochromatic crochet boots from hexagons (the motive scheme can be almost any).

What to use to make a sole

Various types of dense fabrics are excellent as a basis for indoor shoes. However, natural and artificial leather remains the most durable. These materials have elasticity, so the sole will be comfortable and not "wooden". As a rule, leather elements do not wear out for several years, however, you will need to take care to sew the upper part of the product to the lower one more tightly. From the inside of the slippers, you should stitch or glue a layer of some natural and warm fabric: fleece, flannel or lining with batting.

Why felt

Felt insoles are often used as an alternative; they also last a long time and at the same time are much cheaper than leather ones. Among their advantages are the following:

  • They are easy to find and buy.
  • Felt is easy to pierce with any needle, making it easier to work with.
  • It does not require placing the lining from the inside of the product, as it is quite warm in itself.

If the craftswoman has stockpiled pieces of tarpaulin or upholstery fabric, she may well use them. Some publications offer patterns for knitting yarn soles. However, it should be borne in mind that the life of such slippers will be short-lived: they will wear out in just a few weeks.

Crochet simple hexagons: diagrams and description

Let's consider the principle of making a dense hexagonal motif. You need to start with a chain of 3-4 air loops (VP), like any circular knitting. It is more convenient for some craftswomen to make a loop of thread as an initial step. In fact, there is not much difference in how the middle will look, as long as it is neat.

1st row: 3VP (this is the beginning of each row), 1 column with a crochet (CCH), * 1 VP, 2 CCH * (repeat 5 times), 1 VP.

2nd row: 3 VP, 1 CCH, 1 CCH under the arch from the VP of the previous row, * 1 CCH, 1 CCH in the arch, 2 CCH, 1 CCH in the arch * (repeat 4 times), 1 VP, 1 CCH in the arch ...

This is the whole description of knitting a hexagon, since then you only need to continue expanding the motive. An attentive knitter will notice that the formation of new CCHs occurs when 1 CCH, 1 CCH and another 1 CCH are knitted into one arch (from 1 VP).

In the same places, the corners of the motive are formed. As the colors change, the stripes will follow the outline of the shape. Crochet hexagon pattern can be openwork.

Here, a slightly different principle of expanding the canvas is used: first, a round element is knitted, and six corners are formed in the last row.

Crochet hexagon pattern: knitting and connecting motifs

The following figure shows openwork hexagons, the shape of which is formed from the second row.

This is due to the fact that at six points between the "bushes" (the main element of the motive, connected by the CCH), not one, but three air loops are performed. In the next row, not one, but two "bushes" are knitted into this arch. The described algorithm is repeated until the fragment reaches the desired size. This hexagon crochet pattern is best for working with colored threads.

To connect individual elements into a solid canvas, you can use several methods:

  • Sew with a needle.
  • Knit one row of RLS, capturing the edges of two parts (the seam will be voluminous and stiff).
  • Tie an additional row of VP and RLS, picking up the loops of two hexagons.

The first two methods are pretty simple, but the third will be clearer after studying the instructions. They start with 1 RLS, which is knitted in the last row of one of the elements (in the corner), then, without tearing off the threads, go to the corner of the second part and also perform RLS. After 3 VP, they start a hook under the VP of one and the second part and knit 1 RLS. This is followed by 3 VPs, the algorithm is repeated.

The resulting seam comes out even, completely loose and flat. Often it is performed with a thread of a background color, therefore, a kind of frame is formed between the motives.

How many hexagons do you need for slippers and boots

The photo shows that ordinary slippers consist of three motifs: one serves as the toe of the product, and the other two form the heel.

More parts are required to assemble the short boots. In addition to the main three hexagons, you will need to knit two more for the bootleg. If you wish, you can raise the boots to any height: each level will consist of two new parts.

Before you start crocheting a hexagon (patterns may be different), it is worth considering the thickness of the yarn. If it is small, then the number of motives will increase.

Today's master class will tell you how to crochet hexagonal motifs correctly with patterns that are more suitable than ever for creating blankets, pillows, napkins, openwork tops and dresses ... Arm yourself with yarn and crochet hooks, it will be interesting!

Slippers-boots from hexagonal motifs: video master class

Selection of schemes

For this master class with a video and a detailed description, it is easy learn to crochet slippers from hexagonal motifs. Slippers consist of three large hexagonal motifs; for knitting, you can use yarn of different colors or any remnants of thread and knitted soles. The yarn for knitting slippers should be thick enough, if the threads are thin, then make them in 2 or 3 folds.

This description of slippers for 39th foot size. The example used yarn of two colors pink took about 150 grams and blue about 75 grams, hook number 3.5.

Description of knitting soles of slipper:

The sole of the slipper is knitted with a thread in two folds to make it thick and durable. Make a starting loop on the hook, cast on 5 reps. + 2 air items to lift the first row. The sole of the slipper is knitted in straight and reverse rows with half-columns, at the beginning of each row, make 2 air lifting loops. If you need to add one half-column from one loop, knit two columns. If you need to decrease the half-column, make a yarn over, insert the hook into the first loop along the row, pull the loop onto the hook, then into the second loop along the row, pull another loop onto the hook, then grabbing the working thread, knit all the loops from the hook.

In the first row of knitting soles, start knitting half-columns from the 3rd loop from the hook, while from the first and last loop of the chain knit two half-columns, all in a row of 7 half-columns.

In the second row, also add from the first and last loop of the row, you get 9 half-columns. Next, knit a trace up to row 10 without additions.

In rows 11, 12, 13 and 14, add from the first loop of the row, the number of half-columns should increase to 14 to expand the foot.

Knitting pattern for a hexagonal motif:

Description of knitting hexagonal motif:

Having made the initial loop on the hook, dial 5 air points, lock them into the connection ring. Art.

To start knitting the first row, make 4 air stitches. lifting, from the ring knit 17 tbsp. s / 2n. Complete the row with a connecting post in the 4th lifting loop.

Introduce the thread of the second color into work. Start the second row of motive with 3 air items. lifting, * make a yarn over, insert the hook at the starting point and pull a long loop onto the hook, repeat from * again. Crochet all the stitches from the hook, do 1 stitches.

To knit the second lush column, make a yarn over the hook, insert it into the next loop along the row, pull out a long loop, repeat 2 more times: yarn over, hook into the same loop, pull out a long loop. Knit all the loops from the hook, fasten the fluffy column with an air loop and make another re.

In total, in the second row, tie 18 lush columns from each loop of the first row, between the lush columns, do 1 air item. Complete the row of connection st. to the top of the first magnificent st.

Knit the 3rd row of the motif with a thread from the first row, stretching it along the wrong side. Do 2 air p. lifting, yarn, hook between the lush columns of the second row, knit yarn, new yarn, hook to the top of the next lush st., knit yarn, then knit all the loops from the hook and make 2 air sts. Then knit, repeating 3 single-vertex stitches and 2 air stitches. Finish the row of connections. Art.

Change the thread color again. From the first arch, knit 3 air p. lifting and 4 tbsp. s / n, then repeat twice 3 tbsp. s / n and once 5 tbsp. s / n from the arches of the previous row. Finish the row of connections. Art. into the 3rd lifting loop.

Knit the last row with st. b / n from each loop, only from the middle loop of a group of 5 tbsp s / n, knit 3 tbsp. b / n, these are the tops of the hexagonal motif. Complete the row of connections. Art., cut and secure the thread.

Slipper assembly:

Having connected three motives, fold them in the form of a triangle, its top is a sock-slipper.
