The premiere of the new episodes of the cartoon "Just You Wait!" the eighth Minsk International Children's and Youth Film Festival "Listopadik-2006" will open. According to the organizing committee of the festival, it is planned that two new episodes of the cartoon will be presented by their author Alexei Kotenochkin, the son of director Vyacheslav Kotenochkin, who created "Well, wait!" for 30 years.
The festival week will be full of various events. In addition to competitive screenings, meetings with famous actors and directors will take place.
The festival will bring together many famous Russian cinema figures, including Boris Grachevsky, Sergei Seregin, Alexander Loye, Yana Poplavskaya, Valentina Telichkina, Dmitry Iosifov, Andrei Sokolov, as well as guests from Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, and the USA.
During the Listopadik days there will be presentations of children's and youth media, meetings with editorial teams, an exhibition of sketches by animators, an exhibition of children's drawings, charity events, as well as a concert of young artists and Belarusian pop stars.
In total, about 80 works of masters from 21 countries will be presented at the festival, which will be held from 17 to 24 November, RIA Novosti reports.
After the premiere at the Komsomolets cinema in Minsk, the creator of the new episodes, the animator, said that there would no longer be a cartoon with this name. According to Kotenochkin Jr., "it is impossible to endlessly reproduce these series," reports newsru.
