Pattern of women's pajamas from velsoft. The simplest pattern

I bought myself silk pajamas from a Chinese site, and you know what? A month later, my fabric was covered with pellets, and the lace completely crawled to pieces. Naturally, you can't even put on such a leaky thing even for sleep. You will say there was no need to save on linen, but I got used to the fact that my clothes cost me a penny, this is a minus and plus of my sewing profession) Therefore, I bought a piece of Italian crepe and lace and decided to sew a set for myself, and as usual I will share with you how to sew pajamas with shorts.

In this master class there will be no complex constructions - the pattern of women's pajamas with shorts consists of only two measurements, everything is as usual easy and simple, and even a kettle in sewing can handle sewing. As a result, I got a very beautiful and delicate thing, which is not inferior in quality to expensive silk sets.

What it took me to sew pajamas with shorts

My pajamas will be made of thin dress crepe. This fabric is easy to sew, non-slip, and the suede finish makes it look as matte as I like. I got a total check from the textile salon for 350 rubles.

  • dress crepe fabric - 90 cm
  • eyelash lace - 20 cm.
  • elastic for shorts - 82 cm.
  • elastic band for top - 33 cm.
  • linen straps in the color of the fabric - 2 pcs. or a linen strap for shoulder straps 80 cm long.
  • threads in color - 3 spools
  • glue web - 1 m.

Pattern of women's pajamas with shorts without a side seam

In order to get a pattern of your size, you need to take two measurements from yourself: the girth of the chest (Og) and the girth of the hips (O). To the bottom, the pattern of the front and back is expanded on each side by 5 cm, as a result we get a trapezoid. The pattern of the shorts is built according to the measurement of the girth of the hips. The product fits at the waist due to the elastic band.

By the way, I would call this pattern universal, since I sewed on it another beautiful thing in linen style - this is on shoulder straps.

How to sew pajamas with shorts step by step

After cutting the parts, you can start sewing.

1. I overlock the upper edge of the front (shelf) of the top. If you don't have an overlock, you can do the same with a zigzag stitch on your sewing machine.

2. I cut the lace into strips and apply it to the upper cut of the shelf in such a way that it fits nicely with the pattern in mind.

3. I glue the joints of the lace with an adhesive spider web and connect on a sewing machine on a zigzag.

4. Then I sew the lace to the fabric of the upper on a sewing machine with a straight stitch.

5. I overcast the top cut along the back of the top. I apply an elastic band to the serrated cut, secure with pins.

6. I pull the elastic evenly from one edge to the other, sew on a zigzag stitch on a typewriter.

7. I throw the elastic to the wrong side of the back, sew on the elastic from the front with a zigzag stitch.

8. I put the details of the back and front (shelves) on top of each other with the front sides inward. I fasten together with tailor's pins. I sew the parts with a straight stitch on a sewing machine, then overcast the side cuts on an overlock.

9. Overlock the bottom of the top with an overlock

10. I sew a seam in the hem. To do this, I bend the serrated bottom cut of the top 1 cm inward, sew on a sewing machine with a straight stitch.

11. Sew on the top of the straps with a zigzag stitch, and the top of the pajamas is ready!

12. Now I start sewing shorts. To do this, I impose two parts with the front sides inward and connect them on a typewriter along the middle cuts, then overcast.

13. Then on a step cut, I overcast.

14. Ironing the seams, overcasting the bottom edge of the shorts.

15. Cut the lace so that it fits over the bottom edge of each leg.

16. I join the pieces of lace together with an overlap with an adhesive spider web, then I sew them with a zigzag stitch on a typewriter.

17. I attach the lace to the leg with tailor's pins so that the seam on the lace remains inside, where the step cut is.

18. Sew the lace to the shorts on a sewing machine with a straight seam stitch.

19. I connect the ends of the elastic.

Hello.
Today we will build a pattern for a classic pajama shirt.

You and I have already learned to draw regular shirt design, now we have to build a pattern for a pajama shirt. But first, let's compare these two shirt models in order to understand what is the significant difference between them, and, perhaps, we will not have to invent anything new.

And the first thing we will immediately notice is that the cuts of the pajama shirt are processed with a decorative set-in edging. Actually, it is this piping that gives the product its pajama style. But the edging is just a decorative element and it does not wag on the pattern design. The next thing we will pay attention to is that both of these shirts have different collar configurations: a classic shirt has a turn-down collar with a stand, and a pajama shirt has a turn-down collar with cuffs along the lapel (English collar). And this means that to design a pajama shirt, we just need to build the design of the English collar on the shirt shelf drawing.

In the last article, we disassembled two ways to build an English collar, therefore, it will not be difficult for us to draw a pattern for a pajama shirt.
And so, for work we need shirt pattern straight silhouette.

Back modeling
Let us lower the yoke line by 2-3 cm, for this, along the line of the middle of the back, set aside 2-3 cm from the yoke line and draw a horizontal line from the resulting point until it intersects with the armhole line.

From this intersection point down the armhole line, set aside 1 cm and connect the resulting point with a smooth line with the yoke line.

Let's build a soft fold by extending the yoke line 3-4 cm to the left of the middle line of the back. Down from the obtained point, we lower the vertical to the intersection with the continuation of the line of the bottom of the back.

The back pattern is ready.

Shelf modeling
We draw the line of the side, choosing the required width of the half-line (1.5 cm - for thin fabrics, 2 cm - for dense fabrics, or the size of the button diameter + 1 cm).

Let's deepen the neck of the shelf by 1.5 cm.

On the line of the middle of the shelf, mark the position of the first loop at the desired level (I chose 3 cm above the chest line). And build English collar design with the following parameters:
collar height - 2.5-3cm;
collar width - 4-5cm;
collar end width - 4-5cm;
lapel shoulder width - 3cm.

Optionally, the collar can be built in the neck with an angle, choose any method you like.

We will decorate the corners of the collar and lapel in a semicircle.

Let's draw the selection sections by transferring the lines of the shelf to a blank sheet, or directly on the drawing of the shelf. The width of the hem along the bottom line to the level of the first loop is equal to twice the size of the half-nose, the width along the shoulder cut is 4 cm.

This completes the modeling of the shelf.

Sleeve modeling
Since we used a pattern of a shirt of a straight silhouette, then shirt sleeve pattern we'll take for a straight silhouette.

If your pajama model has long sleeves, then you don't need to model the sleeve. For the short sleeve, draw a new bottom line at the desired level.

To process the bottom line of the sleeve, a cuff pattern is required, the length of which is equal to the length of the bottom line of the sleeve, and the height is 3.5-4 cm.

Pocket
Our pajama shirt has a pocket with a leaflet.
Leaflet- a detail for processing the cut line of the pocket, fixed along its sides.
The shape of the pocket depends on your desire. I chose with a pointed corner.
To build a leaflet, lay down 3.5-4 cm from the upper cut of the pocket and draw a horizontal line at this level, cut off the part along the marked line.

The detail of the leaf is equal to the width of the pocket and the doubled height of the cut-off upper part of the pocket - 7-8 cm. The horizontal line of the middle of the part is the fold line of the leaflet.

This completes the modeling of the shirt, and we have this pattern for the pajama shirt.

How nice it is after a long eventful day and evening to put on soft comfortable pajamas, wrap yourself in a blanket and plunge into the world of sweet dreams. Pajamas made from natural materials are a must-have in every woman's wardrobe. After all, a good sleep is not only a guarantee of an excellent mood, but also of female beauty. The T-shirt pattern is modeled after the pattern of the hoodie dress that we gave in the previous lesson. If you've already built, use it to simulate.

Pajamas are a type of home clothing used primarily for sleeping. The word pajamas comes from the Hindi language. It originally comes from a Persian word literally meaning “clothes for the legs,” that is, trousers. A typical pajamas consists of loose pants and a shirt, however, the current interpretation of pajamas has changed somewhat and modern pajama sets can consist of both trousers and a breech or short shorts, and the shirt is quite harmoniously replaced by a T-shirt with long or short sleeves.

T-shirt modeling

The length of the T-shirt on the back is about 70 cm. The increase in freedom of fit is 5.5 cm to the half-girth of the chest.

Back modeling. To simulate a T-shirt pattern, deepen the neckline of the back by 2 cm and widen it by 4 cm. Draw a new line for the neckline of the back as shown in fig. 1. Along the waist line of the back from the side seam, set aside 2 cm to the left, draw a fitted line of the side seam.

Shelf modeling. Deepen and widen the neckline of the shelf by 7-8 and 4 cm, respectively. Draw a new neck of the shelf, sew the side seam 2 cm as shown in fig. 1.

How to transfer the image of a teddy bear to a T-shirt

In this model, the image of a bear is printed on a T-shirt using thermal printing. You can choose any image you like and print it on a T-shirt. Today, in almost every city there are companies that offer printing of images on fabrics and canvases. Print the image on the knitted fabric along the lines, and then cut the shelf. You can download the image we have proposed below.

IMPORTANT! Before buying a fabric, be sure to ask the printing specialists on what kind of knitted fabric it is possible to print an image and if there are any restrictions on the quality of the fabric and what is needed for this.

How to design a T-shirt for your pajamas

To sew a T-shirt, you will need: about 0.8 cm of a gray knitted fabric 1.8 m wide (a cooler is ideal).

T-shirt cut details are shown in fig. 3. In addition, cut out an oblique strip 4 cm wide (ready-made 1.5 cm) from the fabric of a contrasting color and length along the neck of the back and the shelf. When cutting on all sides of parts, be sure to add 1 cm allowances, along the bottom of the T-shirt and sleeves - 2 cm. Sewing pajamas - a T-shirt and trousers, we recommend using a four-thread overlock stitch.

Rice. 3. T-shirt cut details

The length of the trousers according to the pattern along the side seam is about 104 cm. The pattern of pajama trousers is given in natural size for 5 sizes, you just need to download and print it. We have prepared two formats for you - A0 (you can print in A0 format in the copy center) and A4 (you can print in A4 format on any printer, then the sheets must be glued).

IMPORTANT! The waistline of the trousers is lowered by 4 cm. Take this into account when checking the pattern. Patch and side pockets on pajamas can be omitted.

How to determine your size

Take measurements from the figure and compare them with the measurements from the Table. The main measurement for trousers is the girth of the hips. When choosing the size of the trouser pattern, it is also important to take into account the Sitting Height measurement. It is the seat height that determines the level (depth) of the middle seam. And if the seam depth is not enough, the trousers will be "shallow" and vice versa.

Compare your measurements with the tabulated ones and determine the size of your trousers. Then check the selected size as shown in fig. 2.

Rice. Women's Measurement Chart

How to check a pattern

Sometimes, when printing, due to the printer settings, the pattern may be compressed forcibly. For this, a "test square" with sides of 100 x 100 mm is applied to the details of the pattern. After printing the pattern, first measure the sides of the square and make sure the pattern is printed correctly.

Rice. 5. How to check the pattern of pajama pants

To check the suitability of the size you have chosen (in Fig. 2. Size 50), measure according to the pattern:

  • Middle seam length: X1 + X2
  • Waist: X3 + X4
  • Pants length X5
  • Pants bottom width: X6 + X7

Compare the values obtained with your measurements. Since the trousers are sewn from knitted fabric, the measurements should be equal to those taken from the figure, or have small deviations up or down.

How to cut pajama pants

To sew trousers, you will need: 1.2 m of a crochet (knitted cotton fabric) of azure blue, 160 cm wide, about 0.9 m of elastic bands 3 cm wide, threads.

For a comfortable sleep and good rest, every detail, every little thing is important. Even what we wear determines the quality of sleep. Some people like satin nightgowns. Others enjoy sleeping in cotton or jersey T-shirts. And there are those who sleep exclusively in pajamas. Let's sew it. Sewing pajamas will be extremely simple. The main thing is comfort.

What kind of pajamas are there?

There are several types of pajamas depending on the season.

With long sleeves and long trousers - for winter, spring and autumn.

With short sleeves and shorts - for summer vacations.

There may be variations. Top - T-shirt, and bottom - trousers; top with short sleeves is completed with shorts; top - with short sleeves, bottom - trousers, etc.
When going to build a pattern, you need to decide on the size. This is a type of clothing in which a significant allowance is allowed. Therefore, the size of pajamas should be 1-2 units larger than the size of your underwear. Then it will be comfortable to sleep.

Pajamas fabrics

The material for the product should be pleasant to the body and to the touch, hygroscopic, breathable. The online store "Textile" offers:

  • - ideal for hot summers.
  • - Slim and breathable.
  • - luxurious, glamorous, pleasantly cools the body in summer.
  • Staple- light and pleasant.
  • - convenient for summer, winter and off-season.
  • - fluffy, soft and very warm.
  • - practical, warm fabric.

When calculating the amount of fabric, do not forget about the allowances and the percentage of shrinkage.

How to sew your own pajamas?

It is worth starting sewing with a sketch and a drawing. And the pattern of pajamas is done in three ways:

  • Based on old pajamas or home trousers and T-shirts, tunics, T-shirts.
  • Build the base yourself.
  • Copy drawing from mod magazines. Burda Moden, Ottobre, Pattrones often publish home clothes and underwear.

Measurements will be required:

  • Waist circumference.
  • Hip girth. From 10 cm and more - freedom of fit.
  • Length trousers.
  • Step length.
  • Knee girth. From 10 cm to the freedom of fit.
  • Knee height.
  • The girth of the pants is at the bottom. From 10 cm to the freedom of fit.
  • Seat height. About 3-5 cm for a free fit.
  • Saddle length or groin length. Measurement is taken from a point on the waist in front through the groin area to a point on the waist in the back. About 3-5 cm for a free fit.
  • Blouse length.
  • Breast coverage.
  • The length of the sleeve.

Pajamas with this pattern will be loose. You can make adjustments, make the pants more tight-fitting, change the length, height of the seat (to the waist or below the waist).

The drawing starts from the bottom line.

  • Length trousers. Draw a bottom line and a waist line.
  • Down from Lt (waist line) is the height of the seat. Draw the line of the hips (Forehead).
  • We measure the knee height from Лт. Draw the knee line (Lk).
  • From the line of the Height of the thigh on the forehead to the right, set aside ¼ + allowance + 2 cm, to the left - ¼ About + allowance-2 cm. Points SP and CC.
  • Find point P.

Formula: V / 2. Divide the number by 3.8, round up to the nearest whole number. Divide by 3 and round again.

  • We find point C. From the value obtained after ½ About divided by 3.8, subtract the P-SP distance.
  • TP + 2 cm = vol. 2.
  • T. 2 + 3 cm down = T.Z
  • Connect the curve to points P, etc. 3.
  • TS + 3 cm = vol. 3.
  • Vol. 3 + 3 cm up = vol. 3.
  • Connect points C and point 3 (top) with a smooth line.

Check the length of the groin line in the drawing with your measurement. Correct if necessary.

  • Set aside the circumference of the knee in Lk.
  • Set aside along the Bottom Line the girth of the bottom.
  • Connect the step seams with a concave line. Check with Dshag's yardstick.

Transfer the drawing to the fabric and cut out, taking into account the seam and belt allowances.

The upper can be sewn over a T-shirt or the tunic pattern below. The pattern is given for a chest girth of no more than 100 cm. The depth of the collar, change the finish at your discretion. If you wish, you can cut the front shelf, stitch the bar, cut the buttonholes and sew on the buttons themselves.

The sleeping kit is ready.

When you imagine a dank autumn or cold winter evening, and you have to settle down under the covers, childhood memories of the cozy warm pajamas that your mother put on you for the night come to mind.

Pajamas are a type of home, even sleeping, that took root in our everyday life not so long ago. During the colonization of India, the British borrowed for their homeland the "progenitor" of this type of clothing, which was called pyjamas. Initially, “pajamas” was a word from the Turkic language: in Persia, they wore loose-fitting trousers, belted with a rope, which were called clothes for the legs, which in Persian sounded similar to the word “pajamas”.

After the Europeans mastered the aforementioned harem pants, they did not become a weekend outfit, but became firmly established as comfortable clothes for rest and, most of all, for sleeping.

Perhaps, many representatives of the beautiful half of humanity want to have pajamas. But you can sew pajamas yourself. Do you want to try your hand? Then consider the classic version of warm pajamas.

A standard warm pajamas resembles a suit, because it is a set of comfortable trousers with an elastic band and a shirt that does not restrict the body, which has almost all the attributes of an ordinary men's shirt: long sleeves, collar, placket and buttons.

For example, take pajamas pattern for size 46-48.

We decide on the fabric. First of all, sleepwear should preferably be made from a natural material that is breathable and washable. For the pajamas you need, you can choose from flannel, warm knitwear, cotton textiles, blended fabrics with a pleasant short nap that will give the desired warmth.

Calculation of matter as follows: for the panties we measure the length along the side seam of 1 m 10 cm. For the blouse - the length according to the pattern of the back is 85 cm. We take into account the long sleeves. Total: with a fabric width of 1 m 50 cm, a cut footage of no more than 5 m is obtained, even taking into account the higher growth of the pajama hostess. Any color that will attract the eye. Classic bike pajamas can be striped or checkered. Do not forget to purchase medium-sized buttons for your shirt (4-6 pieces) and a wide soft elastic band for your panties. Auxiliary materials are available for non-woven fabric to seal the collar, sleeve cuffs and button placket.

Preparing a pattern for your model

Blouse assembled from a pair of shelves, a back, a pair of sleeves, a collar from a pair of parts and, finally, pockets - one or two, as you like. For pajama trousers, a pattern of two or four pieces is prepared. If the prepared fabric is one-piece, then it is better to do without unnecessary side seams.

The pattern corresponding to the indicated size is shown in the pictures.

Pajama Pants Leg Pattern

We make a pattern on paper - it is better to use graph paper - and start cutting the fabric. Reminder: The vertical lines of the garment must match the vertical threads of the fabric.

Cutting out the fabric taking into account the allowance for seams of one and a half centimeters. If we start sewing from a blouse, then we sew seams along the shoulders and sides. All the seams that are visible on the wrong side on the blouse are further processed on an overlock or zig-zag seam. We fold the lower seams along the shelves and back and sew them over. We fold the two details of the collar facing each other, sew on the outside, turn them inside out, the remaining unstitched inner part must be stitched to the neck formed by the shelves and the back with a hem. But before doing this, we bend the back of the shelves, fill in the edges of the collar zone and sew on the second edge of the collar.

Next, we sew the shoulder seams, attaching the sleeves. We sew the sleeves along the seam, after which we make the cuffs of the sleeves in the same way as the collar. To simplify matters, you can simply fold the edges twice and stitch, hiding the fabric section inward.

Now it's the turn to the pockets. Tuck the edges of the flaps, sew on the pockets. The pajama shirt is ready.

With panties it's easier. When sewing trousers from two parts, only the inner seams of the legs should be made; of four parts - also external seams. We turn the upper edge at the trousers, sew and insert the elastic band inside. We also tuck the lower edges of the legs and sew them.

The work is done. Now you can spend a cozy night in warm pajamas for the cooler season.
