  • The best antiperspirant deodorant. Which deodorants are better for sweat protection?

The best antiperspirant deodorant. Which deodorants are better for sweat protection?

Makes a person feel "out of place", and this is especially true for girls.

When entering the cosmetic department of a store, many people do not know which product is best for them: deodorant or antiperspirant, and which one is most suitable.

Let's take a look at the general information first.

Letters from our readers

Topic: I got rid of hyperhidrosis!

To: Administration site

Kristina
Moscow city

I have recovered from excessive sweating. I tried powders, Formagel, Teymurov's ointment - nothing helped.

Few understand, and often buying, in their opinion, the best product, they expect the wrong effects from it.

A deodorant is a product used to eliminate the unpleasant smell of sweat. This is achieved thanks to the aromatic fragrances included in its composition. It also blocks the multiplication of bacteria that cause the appearance of harsh amber in problem areas. This can be facilitated by the alcohol and farnesol contained in the deodorant.

Sometimes you can find triclosan in the composition of the drug, but in many countries it is a prohibited substance, since it can provoke the appearance of diseases of the endocrine system.

An antiperspirant is a remedy that blocks the onset of sweating. It contains aluminum salts and zirconium salts. When applied to the skin, these substances form a gel and clog the tubules of the sweat glands, thereby stopping the secretion of sweat. Antiperspirants are odorless.

Recently, many cosmetic firms have started producing antiperspirant deodorants. These products help not only get rid of the unpleasant odor in problem areas, but also reduce the secretion of sweat glands.

The choice of a product depends on several factors:

  • In the hot season, it is not recommended to use antiperspirants, as sweat will accumulate under the skin and edema may form on the body, which is not only harmful to the body, but also looks extremely unattractive. In such weather, it is worth abandoning deodorants with harsh aromas, since with strong perspiration, it will not be able to cope with the growth of bacteria, and the perfumed aroma of the product will mix with the smell of sweat. In hot weather, it is better to use 2-in-1 products with a light fresh aroma.
  • It is not recommended for people suffering from hyperhidrosis to use deodorants, as they will not help solve the main problem - excessive sweating. To eliminate the symptoms of this disease, it is better to use antiperspirants. By blocking the tubules, they prevent perspiration. No sweat - no bad smell.
  • If a woman does not sweat a lot, then it is best for her to use deodorants with light floral aromas.
  • If a girl sweats a lot during moments of excitement, then it is better to use an antiperspirant before an important event.

Rexona invisible

This product has been specially formulated for athletic women. Blocks unpleasant odors and reduces the amount of sweat generated during exercise. Due to the special composition, sweating is reduced by 10 times. And the cream-gel in the middle of the stick gives the body a light floral scent.

The advantages of this deodorant include:

  • ease of use;
  • profitability;
  • efficiency;
  • long-term action.

Despite the high price of this remedy, many women consider it to be the best and most effective. In addition to reducing sweating, this drug also nourishes the skin and slows down hair growth, which allows you to shave your armpits less often.

Women suffering from hyperhidrosis note that with the constant use of this remedy, the total body sweating decreases.

The benefits of an antiperspirant are:

  • high efficiency;
  • skin care;
  • light aroma;
  • does not leave marks on the body and clothing;
  • quickly absorbed and dries.
  • slows down hair growth.

As such, this drug has no drawbacks, but many attribute its price to this category. One bottle of this product costs 1000 rubles on average.

Garnier NEO

This line comes in three forms:

  • roll-on deodorant;
  • spray antiperspirant;
  • dry cream pencil.

In the store, you can find deodorants not only with a floral and fresh scent, but also odorless. They have a good effect on the skin of the body, prevent perspiration and eliminate the unpleasant odor of sweat. The bottles fit well in the hand and are suitable for travel.

The advantages of these funds include:

  • efficiency;
  • long-term protection;
  • ease of application;
  • a wide range of release forms and flavors;
  • does not leave stains on things

Based on the reviews, we can say that this is a good deodorant spray. This remedy is suitable for allergy sufferers, as well as for pregnant women and women in the period breastfeeding... The line of these drugs has wide range aromas.

Spray benefits:

  • the product contains natural ingredients;
  • light unobtrusive smell;
  • economical;
  • effective;
  • hypoallergenic;
  • convenient application;
  • does not harm the body.

The disadvantages include:

  • effectiveness lasts 8-12 hours;
  • does not cope with high sweating.

This spray is great for active women who do not have a single free minute. The tool copes well with its tasks and has a number of advantages:

  • ease of use;
  • has a disinfectant effect;
  • copes with excessive sweating;
  • does not leave stains on clothes.

Flaws:

  • absorbs and dries for a long time;
  • the first time after application, a slight stickiness is felt.

Before using deodorants and antiperspirants, there are some tips to read:

  • Before applying the product, it is necessary to remove all hairs from the application area. Bacteria multiply more strongly between the hairs, and excess vegetation can cause uneven action of the product.
  • The drug should be applied to clean and dry skin. You must first thoroughly wash the problem areas of the skin using soap.
  • It is forbidden to apply funds to the body if it has open wounds and ulcers. It is not recommended to use deodorants during periods of exacerbation of psoriasis and dermatitis.
  • It is not recommended to use these products before visiting the solarium or the beach, as this can provoke the appearance age spots on the skin.
  • The deodorant can be applied every 8-12 hours. Antiperspirant - once a day.
  • If allergic reactions occur, wash off the product from the skin using water and stop using it.

What is the best deodorant? - almost one of the most difficult questions for most girls and women. That is why I finally decided to conduct a fairly large-scale research in the field of women's deodorants / antiperspirants and find out which one is really the best, what and why, after writing a huge detailed review.

In the photo from left to right from bottom to top: Deodorant-antiperspirant Fa (Fa) Sport Double action Wave of freshness aerosol, Deodorant-antiperspirant Garnier (Garnier) Mineral Invisible Protection from marks, stains, fading - aerosol and roller, Deodorant antiperspirant (Nivea) antistress aerosol, Antiperspirant deodorant Nivea (Nivea) Roller powder effect, Antiperspirant PHYTOdeodorant Clean line Protection against odor and moisture Verbena, sage aerosol, Natural deodorant Natural Veil tianDe in the form of crystal, Antiperspirant aerosol Invisible Antiperspirant Dry Dove Antiperspirant Dove Go Fresh Awakening the senses aerosol, Weleda Citrus Deodorant spray.

The question immediately arises: why, to find out which deodorant for women is the best, did I choose these particular items? I tried to collect mass-market women's deodorants for review, which most girls can buy, in a variety of formats, with a variety of purposes, marketing promises and, of course, formulations. Yes, Weleda is not a mass market, but there should have been at least one representative from a completely different category in order to have something to compare with. 😉 I can assume that someone will wonder why there is no Rexona antiperspirant deodorant. This also has its own explanation: I already had an unpleasant experience with deodorants of this brand, when, despite any promises, they worked no better than others, but very actively spoiled things with stains that did not wash off, so no, thank you, even for the sake of experiment. I will also make a reservation that the experiment to identify the best deodorant for women was carried out under completely normal conditions (not at a temperature of 40 degrees) without increased physical exertion. Formulation comments are listed at the end.

For all other questions that have arisen about the choice of deodorants for review and feedback, I will be happy to answer in the comments. Now let's get started.

Weleda Citrus Deodorant Spray

Weleda citrus deodorant in spray form promises freshness, but for how long it is silent. The spray, by the way, turned out to be a rather unusual form of deodorant for me: how much to spray, where, from what distance ...

Price: 656 rubles.

Compound: Alcohol, Aqua, Parfum, Lemon Peel Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, Citral, Farnesol.

The smell of citrus is really very invigorating. It is absorbed for 20-30 seconds. May burn and pinch the skin (especially after epilation). Does not leave a smell in the room. Stops working after 3-4 hours. The citrus aroma does not transfer to clothes, but there are stains and very noticeable ones.

Score: 10 (40%)(composition - 1; characteristics - 2; ease of use - 1; basic properties - 1; promised results - 0; consumption - 2; side effects - 2; price-quality ratio - 0; atmosphere - 1)

The compositions of many are similar, only tianDe and Weleda deodorants are knocked out. The first is completely natural, and the second contains alcohol as the main component - therefore it burns and leads to irritation. The lemon in it, by the way, is also not very soothing. 😉 Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol, although made from natural oils, can also cause an allergic reaction.

Now let's take a look at the ingredients for the rest of the antiperspirant deodorants for women. Almost all aerosols contain butane, propane and isobutane (which is not surprising). These are gases that are considered safe, but it is understandable that breathing them every morning is not very beneficial in the long run. Everywhere in one concentration or another there is Aluminum Chlorohydrate - the same aluminum that clogs the pores and sweat glands, which is the main essence of antiperspirants. When ingested, it does not threaten anything good (especially for children) on the mucous membranes and respiratory organs: allergies, and decreased immunity, and much more. I have already talked about propylene glycol, which is contained in some deodorants, - the possible consequences include a whole spectrum of everything from irritation to disruption of work. nervous system... Silicones (ending in -cone, -oxane, -silicone), of course, are not natural ingredients, but at least they do not pose any danger in antiperspirant deodorants. Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, like Citranellol, Geraniol, Coumarin, are fragrances that can be allergic. More dangerous fragrances include Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Cinnamyl Alcohol, and Hydroxycitronellal. Perlite is some kind of ultra-absorbent mineral with little information available about it - so it's hard to say anything about the potential consequences of use. Isopropyl Myristate has drying and pore-blocking properties - on the one hand, use in this situation is justified, but on the other hand, excessive dryness can lead to flaking and even cracking (). The rest of the unpleasant ingredients, which are found only in 1-2-maximum 3 products, I highlighted in red - you can see the full picture and, if interested, google what and what threatens.

Natural ingredients from all antiperspirant deodorants analyzed are present in both Nivea products, both Dove products and the Pure Line product (in maximum amount).

My verdict:

Of course, I didn't expect anything beyond natural and mega beneficial in deodorants. They work, in fact, mainly due to such compositions. So in the short term, personally, I will simply give preference to those that at least provide high-quality protection and do not spoil my favorite things. And in the long term, of course, to look for the optimal balance of effectiveness and safety of the composition. By the way, the next one on my way was, which left a rather contradictory impression.

Sweating is an important process that helps the body's thermoregulation and moisturizes the skin. However, the smell of sweat is not at all what you want to feel from yourself or from another person (especially in a stuffy room). There is a special term for excessive sweating in medicine - hyperhidrosis. And according to statistics, 1% of the world's population suffers from it, and both men and women are equally affected.

Fortunately, modern science offers many ways to get rid of bad sweat odor. We list the 10 safest and most effective remedies for sweat and odor of feet and armpits.

The price of the product is from 45 rubles.

This is an inexpensive paste that contains substances such as:

  • boric acid;
  • talc;
  • zinc oxide;
  • formaldehyde;
  • salicylic acid;
  • sodium tetraborate;
  • and lead acetate.

According to the reviews of those who suffer from excessive sweating of the legs, Teymurova paste is a magic remedy for sweat from a pharmacy, which relieves the problem better than expensive drugs. All you need to do is wash your feet in warm water before going to bed, apply a thin layer of paste on the skin of your feet with a cotton swab and put on socks at night. In the morning, take off your socks and wash your feet with warm water. For achievement desired effect it is enough to apply the paste for a couple of days in a row.

Cons: the paste contains substances that can irritate the skin and have contraindications. Therefore, before using one of the best remedies for sweating and odor of feet, read its instructions for use. And conduct "reconnaissance by force" - smear a little paste on a small area of the foot and hold it for a while. If skin irritation occurs, the paste cannot be used.

Price - from 147 rubles.

It is a good remedy for sweat and unpleasant odors, even suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. It contains no alcohol, emulsifiers or harmful chemicals. There is only aluminum-ammonium alum. Or, scientifically speaking, Ammonium Alum. Don't worry, this is not harmful aluminum. Alum and Aluminum are different chemicals, they have different chemical formulas and properties

There are also deodorants that contain Potassium Alum - potassium alum. It is also mineral, natural and harmless salt.

This deodorant is odorless, so it won't overpower the scent of your everyday perfume. It does not leave marks on clothing or skin and does not irritate the armpits.

However, it may be ineffective in severe hyperhidrosis. Also, for this crystal to show its full force, it should be applied to well-washed and shaved armpits. And on the skin abundantly moistened with water - according to reviews, this method of application works better than the one recommended by the manufacturer.

Cons: This remedy does not interfere with perspiration, it only removes the unpleasant odor. The crystal is quite fragile and can crack if dropped on the floor.

Price - from 140 rubles per package.

And this is an excellent remedy for wet and yellow sweat stains on clothes. The absorbent side of such pads is made of non-woven material, and the back is an adhesive surface with which the pads are attached to the garment. Each pair of pads is disposable.

The pads are very thin and will be invisible even under a T-shirt. They do not cause discomfort and you can walk with them all day.

Cons: they do not get rid of the smell of sweat.

7. Liquid talcum powder

Price - from 83 rubles.

An excellent and safe remedy for those who often have to walk in closed shoes and / or suffer from sweaty feet. The consistency of talcum powder is pleasant, slightly watery, and when applied, a pleasant menthol chill is felt. It is best to apply the antiperspirant in the morning, on the fingers and the areas between them. Talc is absorbed instantly and does not leave white streaks.

Several manufacturers produce such a product; many users praise the liquid talcum powder produced by Belita Vitex. It also contains tea tree oil, which gives a light specific aroma.

Cons: slightly dries up the skin.

Price - from 58 rubles.

These wipes can be used on both underarms and arms and legs. One napkin is just enough to wipe both armpits. The product includes:

  • boric acid;
  • sodium tetraborate;
  • salicylic acid;
  • Castor oil;
  • phenoxyethanol;
  • methenamine;
  • tea tree oil;
  • peppermint oil;
  • lavender oil;
  • lemon balm oil.

After use, the armpits remain dry and odorless for a long time. In addition, this product has a convenient shape and can be easily put into a small handbag.

Cons: strong smell.

5. Herbal powder against sweat odor

Price - 167 rubles.

Made in Thailand, this powder is versatile folk remedy against sweat and odor. It is applied with a patting motion to the armpits and feet. The product not only fights against unpleasant odor, but also reduces perspiration. The manufacturer also stated the effect of underarm whitening.

The herbal powder contains already familiar to us (according to the rating participant at number 9) aluminum-ammonium alum. There is no burning or tingling sensation when applying the powder, unless, of course, you have an individual allergic reaction.

Cons: white marks are visible on dark clothes, they can be easily washed off. During the day, it is advisable to renew the powder a couple of times, as sweat washes it off the skin.

4. Spray to remove the smell of sweat from clothes

Price - from 570 rubles.

Such products (SmellOFF, Dufta Feet, Lenor Febreze Textile, etc.) are an excellent solution for those who do not want or do not yet have the opportunity to wash clothes from which not the most pleasant amber comes out. It is enough to spray on the clothes to make them slightly damp and hang them on the balcony to dry. There are no divorces left from the funds.

Cons: there is a slight smell that disappears within a couple of hours, high price. Some products are not suitable for suede, silk or leather goods.

Price - from 200 rubles (for panties).

People with hyperhidrosis and those who sweat regularly in the gym need clothing that does not retain moisture and allows the skin to breathe properly. Some fabrics are good in one but bad in another. Cotton is one of the classic examples. Although cotton is incredibly breathable, it wicks sweat like a bath towel. If you wear 100% cotton underwear and go outside in the heat, in just five minutes your groin will be annoyingly sweaty and "fragrant."

To reduce odor and perspiration, consider switching to breathable, moisture-wicking synthetic fabrics. Moving from cotton underwear and shorts or trousers to more high-tech options - things designed specifically for exercise - can make a huge difference. These fabrics will allow your body to sweat as it should, but will not trap sweat on your skin. As a result, you will stay drier and much less odorous.

Cons: none, if you choose the size of the linen.

2. Antiperspirant damobatic DryDry Classic

Price - from 599 rubles.

This is a rather controversial antiperspirant and foot odor remedy for men and women. On the one hand, it is very effective, and this action lasts up to 7 days. On the other hand, it can cause skin irritation and is not just a cosmetic, but a medical remedy against hyperhidrosis. Therefore, we will list the principle of operation and the disadvantages of DryDry, and leave it up to you to decide whether it is worth using it or not.

DryDry contains such components as denatured alcohol (76.5% ob.) (2-Methylpropanol-2, Denatonium benzoate) and aluminum chloride - 30.5%.

Suitable for underarms, palms and feet. It "blocks" pores by creating an aluminum-protein complex. In this case, the functions of the sweat glands are not impaired. Sweat simply comes out through pores on other parts of the body.

The tool has an antibacterial and antiseptic effect, with it the armpits stay dry longer.

Here are tips to avoid the most common side effects of DryDry Classic - burning and itching.

  • Shave your armpits well the day before applying the product, not the same day.
  • Apply overnight to clean, dry skin.
  • Apply the product with light blotting movements.
  • The first time you use it, you may experience slight tingling and redness - this means that the drug has begun to work. In case of severe pain, rinse off the product with warm water and spread the damaged area with a soothing gel or cream.

Cons: a pungent smell of alcohol, a high price, there are aluminum salts in the composition, around which there are many rumors, including about a carcinogenic effect. Some users experience itching and redness of the skin.

1. Botox injections

Price - from 7000 rubles.

This is the best remedy for underarm sweat. You've probably heard that Botox is used to smooth out wrinkles. However, the "beauty injections" have another application - the fight against hyperhidrosis. The effect of such injections lasts from 3 months to six months. It depends on the intensity of physical activity, visits to saunas and other factors affecting sweating. After injections, hyperhidrosis is no longer so pronounced.

They need to be done only in a clinic about which there is good feedback to minimize the risk of side effects and complications.

The number of injections in each armpit is determined by the cosmetologist individually for each client.

Some cosmetologists offer the drug "Dysport". It also contains botulinum toxin, only in a lower concentration. Such a drug is cheaper, but more injections will be required. As a result, you will spend about the same money as with botox injections.

Cons: The procedure is unpleasant, expensive, Botox is a "tamed poison" and must be administered by a licensed specialist.

The use of such cosmetics has long been a prerequisite for a successful look. The smell of sweat, albeit completely natural, causes a lot of discomfort and makes you feel bad. It is for this that modern antiperspirants were invented, which successfully fight this problem. For an overview of the best antiperspirants for women, see our article.

Antiperspirant composition

In order for the agent to be effective against perspiration, special active ingredients are needed.

The composition of products from different manufacturers may differ radically, but, in fact, one of the active substances is always used.

The principle of antiperspirant action is based on suppressing the functions of the sweat glands, which means that the composition contains a kind of "blockers" that can provide just such a function.

The composition of antiperspirants is discussed in more detail below.

What is included in antiperspirants:

  • Aluminum salts. It is this ingredient that provides protection from sweat.
  • Zinc compounds. A stabilizing base for durability and effect.
  • Triclosan. Destroys bacteria and microflora on the skin.
  • Farnesol. It also provides an antibacterial effect, but is gentle on other microorganisms.
  • Cyclomethicone. Forms a film on the skin similar to the currently popular silicones.
  • Butyl ether. Dries up the skin.
  • Stearyl alcohol. Antiseptic effects, usually found in antiperspirants - sticks.
  • Lecithin. Softens the skin.
  • Natural extracts and vitamins. Promotes skin care and additional benefits.

The presence of perfumed fragrances is considered almost mandatory for such products. At the same time, the majority of medicinal antiperspirants, on the contrary, are produced without unnecessary odors, which ideally correspond to the main purpose.

Types and forms of release

Of course, in addition to the composition, the products of different companies also differ in appearance and use. Basically, the choice of one form or another of antiperspirants is influenced by the personal preferences of users. This is also a matter of habit, but the effectiveness of the chosen remedy depends on it.

According to the form of release, the following options are distinguished:

  • Spray - aerosol. It is convenient to apply such an agent immediately over a large area, but due to the gaseous state of the agent, the coating surface is rather small. Among all types of modern antiperspirants, they are considered less effective, but the wide range and popularity of these funds is not limited in any way. In addition, unlike other forms of release, several people can use this tool at once without violating hygiene rules.
  • Roll-on antiperspirant. Typically, such products are presented with a minimum "set" of aromatic fragrances, there are products with no odor at all. Easy to apply, good coverage and a large selection of suitable manufacturing companies. An important nuance: be sure to wait until the product is completely dry, otherwise there is a great risk of getting an unaesthetic stain on your clothes.
  • ... Disposable hygiene product designed to absorb the secretion products of the sweat glands. Liners are indispensable in special cases - at various events, when a person is forced to be in the spotlight.
  • Solid antiperspirant. Among the main "complaints" about this option are marks on clothes and skin, but here everything can also depend on the manufacturer. Usually, such "sin" means, in which there is a well-known talcum powder. The coating takes place in the thickest possible layer, as a result of which a rather high consumption of funds.
  • Paste, cream or gel. Applying such a product is a little inconvenient, but it usually depends on the applicator provided in the kit. It is convenient to apply these antiperspirants with a cotton pad or swab. In this form, they are usually issued pharmacy products from sweating. There is a special series of such products suitable for gentle skin care. There is no alcohol in their composition, priority is on the side of natural extracts and fragrances.

So that there are no marks left on clothes It is best to use clear gels and roll-on antiperspirants.

If you have sensitive skin, you cannot use alcohol formulations, and with increased sweating, only special pharmaceutical products are suitable, designed to deal with this problem.

Which species protects best in case of heavy perspiration

In addition to the form of release, there is an equally important gradation, but here we are already talking about the principle of the effect of the agent.

Depending on the product chosen, there is a clear division into deodorants and antiperspirants.

First view contributes to the destruction of bacteria on the surface of the skin, so an unpleasant odor does not appear for a long time. This will not affect the intensity of sweating, so if you have such a problem, deodorants will be useless.

Antiperspirant use is aimed at suppressing the functions of the sweat glands, which means that there will be no smell either. On the other hand, the frequent use of such agents can interfere with normal thermoregulation, therefore, such agents are not suitable for continuous use.

The principle of application is also considered a difference.

Deodorant used immediately after a shower, on dry, clean skin. It is best applied in the morning, repeating the procedure after a few hours if necessary.
Antiperspirant in this regard, it is much stronger, because its effect lasts up to 72 hours. There are special pharmaceuticals that can block sweat glands for up to 7 days. It is also necessary to use an antiperspirant on clean skin, but in the evening, so that the product is completely absorbed until the morning, providing maximum protection for a day.

It is not so difficult to figure out which remedy is better, it is enough just to determine the purpose.

If you need to stay fresh throughout the day, deodorants with a light scent and a form of application that are convenient for you are great. For sports, antiperspirants are not suitable at all, as they are able to retain fluid, causing overheating of the body and tissue swelling.

More often than not, we just prioritize a particular brand, scent, or form that is easy to apply. Among the most popular products are usually proven manufacturers of cosmetic products. Intensive means

If you sweat heavily, cosmetic tweaks may not be enough, because they cannot completely solve the problem.

If such a symptom appears, it is necessary to consult a doctor to find the actual cause and eliminate it. Pharmacy products can help in this case, but their use must also be coordinated with a specialist.

The fact is that most of these formulations contain an increased concentration of potent components that, if used uncontrolled, can harm the body.

Among these options, the most effective are noted:

  • Maxim.
  • Dry Dry.
  • Odaban.
  • EVERDRY.

The use of these funds should be carried out in courses of 5 - 10 days, after which it is necessary to stop for some time. Most funds are not designed for daily use for example, the pharmacy antiperspirant Dry Dry is designed to be applied once a week.

Bad breath, increased sweating and unwashed hair are always conspicuous to those around you. Friends will avoid your company, and at work they will certainly condemn you for slovenliness. Unfortunately, poor health can be the cause of the above problems.

In our review, you will learn about and how effective deodorant is against increased perspiration.

In men

The appearance of sweat in the stronger sex is a natural reaction of the body to sports, hot weather or heavy physical activity. Primary sweating occurs in men during adolescence and is present throughout life.

However, with the cause of secondary hyperhidrosis, the situation is a little more complicated, so take your time to buy an effective deodorant for increased sweating. A solution to the problem must be sought from a doctor if it is related to the following points:

  • Temperature with an infectious disease.
  • The consequences of taking medication.
  • Failure of the endocrine system.
  • Rheumatological diseases.
  • Lymphomas.
  • Stress and anxiety.
  • Obesity and metabolic disorders.

Among women

There is no doubt that secondary hyperhidrosis is the most uncomfortable for the fair sex. It is believed that a girl or woman should always look neat and exude exclusively the scent of perfume. Wet circles in the armpits, perspiration on the forehead or wet palms - there can be no question of a new acquaintance, and your feeling of self-doubt will not allow any gentleman to approach you.

The above reasons for profuse sweating in women and men are the same. But for the fair sex, the list can be supplemented.

  • Menstruation. During critical days, estrogen levels rise - the body reacts to this with increased sweating and a feeling of fatigue.
  • Pregnancy. Excessive sweating during the first trimester is a normal reaction and should not be feared. Later, the symptom goes away without the use of any special means.
  • Climax. At this stage, the female body withstands significant hormonal changes. Excessive sensitivity, fatigue appears and sweating increases. In this situation, doctors recommend using deodorant for profuse sweating so as not to add stress during the transition period.

Regardless of the cause of the appearance of secondary hyperhidrosis, there are several simple recommendations that will help to partially cope with the problem.

First, water treatments. It is necessary to take a shower at least twice a day, and preferably more often in summer.

Secondly, the clothes. Avoid synthetic fabrics and overly tight silhouettes. Natural silk, linen and cotton should be your “best friends”.

Thirdly, medical deodorants for increased perspiration. Do some research, read reviews of products on the market, and pick the best one.

Fourth, food. Pay attention to your diet. Soda, sweets, spicy foods, and coffee increase sweating. It is better to quench your thirst in the heat with green tea or plain water.

Fifth, herbal remedies. Many plants can help when applied correctly. For example, regular bathing with herbal teas (oak bark, sage, or pine needles) can reduce perspiration.

Treatment

In our review, we will not dwell on the methods of treating hyper-perspiration, but we will nevertheless name inexpensive medicines.

The safest is "Formagel" - it is registered by the Ministry of Health. The effect after the procedure described in the instructions lasts up to 13 days.

Another option is to buy antiperspirant deodorant. Let's take a look at three of the most famous products.

"Odaban"

In 1970, "Odaban" was created in Great Britain - a deodorant, which for more than forty years has been one of the most effective remedies in the fight against secondary hyperhidrosis. Today, the brand's lineup includes:

You can buy the products of the Odaban brand in the Azbuka Vkusa supermarkets, as well as in the A5, 36.6, Staryi Lekar, GorZdrav and many others pharmacies. A complete list with addresses and phone numbers is presented on the official website.

Pros and cons

Odaban Antiperspirant Deodorant should be used with caution and only in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Do not apply the product to inflamed and irritated skin. After epilating your armpits, for example, it should take a few days.

Reviews of this deodorant are positive. "Odaban" copes even with severe hyperhidrosis, definitely better than mass-market antiperspirants, which promise protection for 48 hours.

Sweating really decreases with each application, and the effect lasts for several days. Now let's talk about the "cons":

Burning. Almost everyone who tried Odaban manifested itself to varying degrees. Another allergic reaction may occur depending on the sensitivity of the skin. For the same reason, it is impossible to use the remedy for facial hyperhidrosis due to the risk of eye contact.

Compound. from increased perspiration is alcohol-based and contains aluminum chloride. Harmful substances can accumulate in the body and cause hydradenitis - a purulent inflammation of the sweat glands.

Drydry

Active advertising on radio and TV several years ago made DryDry, an antiperspirant deodorant, incredibly popular. In a pharmacy today, there is much less chance of buying a fake, because high demand played into the hands of manufacturers of low-quality cosmetics.

The creators of DryDry do not stop expanding the series today: in addition to the classic deodorant, you can buy Sensitive and Light versions, as well as anti-perspiration wipes.

The mechanism of all deodorants from the Swedish manufacturer is the same. Due to the creation of an aluminum-protein complex in the treated area, the sweat glands decrease. According to studies, as a result of this effect, the drug does not accumulate in the human body, even with prolonged use. Here are just some of the reviews, unfortunately, suggest the opposite, but more on that later.

Fundamental rules

DryDry Deodorant is a very effective product. This is confirmed by numerous customer reviews. However, do not forget about the recommendations from the manufacturer, without which the result may be unpredictable.

  1. Apply the product only to dry skin - otherwise, you may experience discomfort, irritation or burning.
  2. Apply deodorant an hour before bed and don't go overboard with the amount.
  3. If redness occurs, use an emollient cream or, in an emergency, hydrocortisone cream. If all else fails, stop using DryDry and see your doctor.
  4. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.

Classic or Sensitive?

The first to appear on the Russian market is a long-acting deodorant. On the palms, soles and armpits, the product has proven to be effective. To achieve the best result with hyperhidrosis, it is advised to use DryDry two nights in a row, and to maintain it, switch to 1-2 times a week.

A small 35 ml bottle can last almost a year, depending on how often you use it.

The latest novelty from the Swedish manufacturer is DryDry Sensitive with a lower content of aluminum chloride hydrate - 20%. In the Classic version, this figure is 30.5%. Another difference is the absence of an alcohol base. According to buyers, the remedy turned out to be less effective. The new formula does not cope with hyperhidrosis - moisture in the armpits can appear within ten hours.

Comfort or health?

DryDry Classic has helped many people solve the problem of hyper-persistence and gain self-confidence. The fair sex, who used to wear only dark clothes, could afford a bright wardrobe. However, along with positive reviews, it became known about the frequent cases of hydradenitis.

Of course, the manufacturer assures that the "blocked" sweat is excreted with the help of the kidneys, and there will be no harm from this. But the opinion of doctors sounds different: sweat, which has not found a natural outlet, undergoes reverse filtration and can stagnate in the lymph nodes. This is especially dangerous for girls and women.

Not everyone gets this from increased sweating, but how do you know who is at risk? The use of such a powerful remedy is justified only for real problems with sweating. If you are too lazy to use regular deodorant every day, then think twice before using DryDry.

Vichy

The Vichy laboratory got its name from the city of the same name in France. It was here in 1931 that the history of the now very successful company began, which has become one of the five world luxury manufacturers.

The incredible amount of nutrients and trace elements in the underground springs of the city of Vichy attracted the interest of the entrepreneur Guerin and Dr. Aller. The main component of Vichy cosmetics to this day is unique water containing 17 mineral salts and 30 microelements.

Focusing on the needs of men and women, experts create great beauty products. Dermatological tests on all skin types and cooperation only with renowned laboratories work to the advantage of the brand's reputation. In addition, confidence is added by the fact that cosmetics are distributed only through pharmacy chains.

Vichy "7 days"

Does not contain ethyl alcohol and parabens - these are the main words that draw attention to the small box containing the Vichy deodorant from increased perspiration. The name “7 Days” promises dry underarms and a feeling of comfort.

Inside the 30 ml bottle there is a cream with a non-sticky and very delicate texture. Apply the product to a dry clean skin also before bedtime according to the scheme indicated in the instructions.

According to reviews on women's portals and forums, with pronounced hyperhidrosis, the remedy may not help in very hot weather, but in general the manufacturer keeps its promises. Economical consumption is also noted: one application requires a “pea” of the cream, so the tube is enough for 6-9 months.

Although Vichy Antiperspirant Deodorant is for women, its scent is more masculine. Fortunately, not a trace of it remains in the morning.

Another competitor

It will not be superfluous to recall the Russian analogue of the famous DryDry. “Algel” is a no less popular product in the category “Antiperspirant deodorants”. Feedback from most buyers confirms its effectiveness.

So, the design and composition really resembles the “big brother” from Sweden - the same alcohol and aluminum chlohydrate. Extracts of green tea, sage and chamomile, as well as menthol are present in small concentrations. The cost of Algel deodorant is almost two times lower, which undoubtedly attracts buyers.

According to information from the manufacturer, after 3-5 days of using the product in the armpits, maximum comfort is achieved. Also suitable for palms and feet.
