Let me show you my crocodile connected by MK Natasha (Nnattali).

The bottom of the matryoshka. The green circle is the size of the stiffening cardboard insert. The double-sided arrow shows which faces to connect.

For a nesting doll, you need 24 hexagons, including one for the face, 2 heptagons, 6 pentagons and 8 triangles. I will say right away that I did not knit the matryoshka myself, all the information from the photos of the Red Cat. I just made up visual diagram bottom and side, as the author refused to show her diagram. It seems to me that the classic African triangle will not work here, it is too convex, but it should be flat.

Muzzle:
0 row - amigurumi ring

then, in the same way, in each row, add 8 loops, until there are 88 loops in the circle
after that, we evenly divide the circle into 4 segments (each should have 22 loops) and lull in each row in three segments out of four (later it will be like the back of the head)
we subtract until the head reaches the size you need, in my case it is about 18 cm from the zero row.
Legs:
1 row - 8 half-columns in the ring
2 row - in each loop 2 half-columns (total 16 loops)
3 row - we knit 2 half-column in the loop of the previous row, in the next 1 half-column, repeat 7 more times (total 24 loops)
4 row - we knit 2 half-columns in the loop of the previous row, in the next 2 loops one half-column, repeat 7 times (total 32 loops)
we increase until the number of loops reaches 56 loops, then divide the circle into 4 segments and subtract 1 loop in each segment, I subtracted to 20 loops.

Many have probably heard of crocheting toys from the "African Flower" motifs. Such toys are striking in their beauty, sophistication, riot of colors and originality. They charge with positive and give joyful good mood If you can crochet and have the right yarn different color, we strongly recommend that you knit such a toy.

We invite you to crochet just such a wonderful horse.

The horse is knitted from separate motives. In total, 42 motives will need to be connected:

  • triangle - 1 piece,
  • quadrangle - 3 pieces,
  • pentagon - 19 pieces,
  • hexagon - 15 pieces + 2 pieces for ears,
  • heptagon - 2 pieces.

To knit a horse, we need the following materials:

  • Multi-colored bright yarn. In the master class, the horse was knitted from Iris yarn.
  • Yarn for the mane and tail.
  • Hook No. 1.5 (or another one corresponding to your chosen yarn).
  • Filler for toys (For example, synthetic winterizer or sliver).
  • Scissors.
  • Needle for stitching parts.
  • A sheet of cardboard.

Let's start knitting a hexagonal motif. We will knit according to the scheme:

This is the motive called "African flower". It is very often used for knitting blankets, shawls and even bags, as well as knitting funny toys.

So let's start knitting.

We collect 5 air loops and close them in a ring. We start to knit first row: two air loops for lifting, double crochet, air loop. Then we repeat * two double crochets, air loop * - 5 times.

We take yarn of a different color.

Second row: again we knit two lifting air loops, then into the hole formed by the air loop of the previous row, we knit a double crochet, an air loop, two double crochets. Repeat * two double crochets, air loop, two double crochets * into the hole formed by the air loop of the previous row - 5 times.

To knit the next row, you can change the color of the yarn again, or you can continue to knit the same.

Third row: using the half-columns, make your way to the hole that was formed by the air loop of the previous row (between the two double crochets). We knit two air loops for lifting and 6 double crochets. Repeat * 7 double crochets * - 5 times.

Change the color of the yarn. It is better if it is a yarn of a contrasting color.

Fourth row:* 7 single crochet, double crochet * - repeat 6 times.

Change the color of the yarn again and tie the flower with crochets.

The last row is single crochet with white yarn:

The rest of the motifs fit in the same way. Here is another knitting pattern for a pentagonal motif:

So, we should have 42 motives.

Now let's start assembling. There are several ways to assemble things connected from separate motives.

In this master class, the parts are sewn together, but you can choose the method of joining the parts that is more to your liking.

Let's start collecting the horse from the face. Take the following details: 1 triangular motif and 3 pentagonal motifs.

We sew them together, as shown in the photo:

Now we take 3 more pentagons.

We sew them to the face.

Let's take another pentagonal motif:

We sew it to the back of the head.

Sew on two hexagons - on one side and on the other. This will be the horse's neck.

We continue to connect the parts. The diagram shows how to do this. Place quadrangles in the places where the number "4" is.

Now we will collect the legs separately, and then attach them to the body of the horse.

For each leg, we need the following motives:

We sew motives together. The leg is ready.

My friends, I want to acquaint you with the work of a wonderful author, master ... Natalia Mokrushina))) At first I wanted to write an article myself and talk about Natasha's toys, but after thinking a little, I realized that the author himself can best tell about his creations ...

Therefore, the whole article from the words of Natalia))) On my own I will add only that these are all author's developments of Natasha. The toys are linked on the basis of the "African flower" motif, but not in its classical form. The motives have been revised, which allowed the author to achieve a natural (anatomical) similarity with the originals from the living fauna)))

toys from African motives

Natasha makes excellent descriptions of her works and sells them for very symbolic money in her shop at the Fair of Craftsmen and invites everyone to visit her shop. Even if you don't buy anything, believe me that there is something to see and something to be inspired by)))

1. Turtle from motives
“I came up with such a tortilla and contacted me:
the individual is very active - all the time it wants to take a walk, leave the house, stretch its bones. Due to constant excursions from the house, he often cannot remember where the entrance is, where the exit to his home is, and therefore enters the house either from the front entrance, then from the courtyard. And then it comes out the same way. It comes out great! :-D But good is not fatal, because house, whatever you say, that in front, that in the back he has the same) The name he wanted to give, of course, Turtle-Tortilla, well, in order not to deviate from the type of his belonging - it must be some kind of Tortilla. And since we have Overseas exoticism, then at the family council we made the following decision ... - to be an overseas Tortilio for him, with the same overseas, but talking about him khfamilia - Doma Neusyadishimo, tk. he has to go somewhere all the time)
And a completely Russified species over time becomes Domanesya Dimych, but in early childhood, by Russian standards, he will simply Domanesya Dimka!:-D
And if the inhabitant is made inseparable from his house, then he becomes Domanevylazio or more simple language, but for some reason a more complex design From-Domanevylazio))
Such incredible transformations can occur with just one turtle, if it falls into the hands ... .. well, in general, it is not so important into whose hands it fell, but most importantly what! ...
In truth - this world is too wise and puzzled!) A ... ny) "
