For this you will need:

  • Plastic bottles of different colors.
  • Colored feathers.
  • Synthetic foam.
  • Scissors.
  • Wooden post.
  • Abrasive mesh.
  • Glue gun.
  • Metal rod.
Step-by-step instructions on how to make the wings and tail of a peacock from bottles with your own hands:

1) Cut out the middle from the plastic bottles, cut into 5-7 centimeters and make 7 pieces for each wing.

2) Prepare the second row of the wing of four bottles dark color by cutting into six feathers. Cut all the following rows of wings into 4 feathers. 3) Cut off the top and bottom of the bottle, cut the remaining cylinder into four pieces. Give the rectangles the shape you want for the tail and trim the edges with a fringe, and draw an eye at the top of the feather. Sort the feathers by size into bags.

All feathers should be solid, semicircular with small and long cuts.

In order to make a model of a peacock, choose a picture of a peacock that you like best.

Take a piece of synthetic foam, cut out pieces of the peacock's head, neck and body that look like the picture and glue the body, neck and head of the peacock with a glue gun.

Then place the wooden post, insert the metal rod into the wooden post and secure the peacock's torso. Cut a circle out of the red bottle, make an incision from the edge to the center, twist it into a beak-shaped cone and secure it to the foam. Next, overlap the prepared feathers on the breast, from long to short, from bottom to top. Also stick on the back. Cut strips from bottles and glue colored feathers onto them to create a tuft.

Use brown plastic bottles to make beautiful eyes and glue. After the peephole, cut out the middle part of the bottle, divide the resulting cylinder in half. Cut the resulting rectangles from below and give the shape of the wings. Attach the bottom of the wings to your torso. Cut out the wings from an abrasive mesh and put small feathers on the mesh, securing with teeth. Attach the top of the wings to your torso.

Make the tail in the same way as the wings, adding bright shades... Attach the tail and feathers that are missing. A peacock from bottles with your own hands is ready. It was a difficult but wonderful job that your neighbors will appreciate.

The volume of bottles should be between 0.5 and 10 liters.

The number of bottles for this figure will depend on the size of the peacock. For example, let's take an average size with a height of 50-70 cm and with long tail 1-1.5 meters.

For this size, a peacock will need approximately:

  1. bottle 0.5 l - 50 pieces;
  2. bottle 1 l - 120 pieces;
  3. bottle 1.5 l - 100 pieces;
  4. bottle 2 l - 20-30 pieces;
  5. bottle 3 l - 20-30 pieces;
  6. bottles of 5 and 10 liters - 5 pieces.

About colors you don't have to worry, as everything can be corrected with paints.

  • Styrofoam;

The body, neck and head of the peacock must be made of polystyrene foam.

The foam will not crumble, and it is easy to cut out various elements of the figure from it.

  • linoleum;

The base of the tail is made of linoleum. The choice of this material is dictated by the ease of working with it.

  • stapler, awl and copper wire, tape, nails or glue for joining parts;

Needed for the manufacture of blanks, fasteners and design work during assembly.

  • foil and acrylic paints for decoration.

These materials are needed for the delicate finish at the end of the work itself.

The work on the peacock figure is quite laborious and requires 5-10 days of work and, of course, perseverance, patience and attention.

Manufacturing of blanks

This stage consists of preparing a model of the body, blanks of feathers, tail, wings. This will give you the opportunity to save time during assembly, as well as determine the right amount of material.

What lamps to choose for a summer residence, find out in.

Torso and wings layout

The torso is the main part on which the rest of the details are fixed.

From the foam, you need to cut out the head, neck and two halves of the body (although everything is possible as a whole), which is then glued together with glue.

Cut out the torso, neck and head from Styrofoam

On the sides we make the shape of the wings, cutting off the parts of the mesh in the form of wings.

Plumage

Feathers should be arranged in several rows, so they are made different lengths... For this, bottles of different sizes are used - from 0.5 to 10 liters.

This is the most laborious part of the work, since you will need to cut a lot and carefully.

A large number of bottles will be required because feathers are the basis of the entire figure assembly.

Plumage is necessary for different parts: wings, torso, tail, neck, head.

In order to cut feathers, you need to take a bottle, cut off the top and bottom.

Cut off the neck and bottom of the bottle. For feathers, you need the middle part of the bottle in the shape of a cylinder.

There should be a cylinder that needs to be expanded by vertical cutting. It turned out a rectangle from which we cut out the feathers. One end of the feather should be rectangular, the other edge should be serrated.

Cut feathers from the cylinder of a plastic bottle

Tail feathers are made as follows: the upper and lower parts of the bottle are cut off, the remaining cylinder is cut into three or four parts. The rectangles are given the desired shape and the edges are decorated with fringes or teeth. An "eye" is drawn at the top of the pen.

Ponytail feathers with fringed edges should look like this

You don't have to worry too much about the colors, since painting can be done with facade paint. You will need to paint after you have cut out all the feathers. After that, you will need to give them time to dry.

Beak

To create a beak, you need to cut two triangles from the top of the bottle (where the neck is), and one should be smaller than the other.

The beak should be triangular

How to do it? Take a 1.5 liter bottle and cut the bottle 5-10 cm down from the neck. Then cut off the neck. A small cylinder remains. Expand it in the same way as when making plumage and cut out two triangles.

Make a beak from the top of the bottle

The small triangle will be the bottom of the beak, and the larger triangle will be the top. The beak is attached to the head with nails.

This is what the finished beak looks like, it is attached to the peacock's head with nails.

Paws

In order to make the legs, you will need a wire, scraps of metal-plastic pipes and two bottles of 0.5 liters each.

Cut the bottles and attach them to the body with the necks down with glue.

The cut tops of the bottles are used as the peacock's legs.

In order for the peacock to stand anywhere, insert metal tubes, passing through the neck into the middle of the bottles.

Often, a large number of plastic bottles accumulate in our homes, which we rush to take to the trash heap as soon as possible. However, such garbage can be a good material for creating crafts on various topics. For example, birds (peacock, swan, eagle, crane, etc.) can be made from plastic bottles.

Making a peacock craft from plastic bottles: a master class

Before making a peacock from plastic bottles, the following materials should be prepared:

  • scissors;
  • 1.5 and 2 liter green bottles in large quantities;
  • one 5 liter bottle;
  • garbage bags of blue color;
  • blue wrapping paper;
  • foil;
  • Scotch;
  • rope;
  • stapler;
  • acrylic paints;
  • brush.

The creation of a peacock consists in the step-by-step implementation of the following actions:

  1. Initially, we prepare the bottles. We tear off the labels, wash them, dry them.
  2. We begin to make a tail from green bottles. Cut off the neck and bottom of the bottle, cut the middle part into three parts lengthwise.
  3. On one side, we make a rounding to make it look more like a feather. On the sides, we begin to cut a piece of the bottle with scissors into thin strips.
  4. Cut out a small circle from the remains of the bottle and wrap it with foil.
  5. From the blue packaging, now cut out an oval slightly larger than a circle.
  6. We take the prepared pen from the green bottle and, using a stapler, first attach the blue oval, then the foil circle. Thus, we got one feather.
  7. Similarly, we make more feathers for the peacock's tail.
  8. We take big bottle and cut out a semicircle with a diameter of 25 cm.
  9. We attach the feathers to the semicircle with a stapler.
  10. We have one layer of feathers ready. Now below we begin to attach the next layer of feathers. Then another layer is even lower. The tail is done.
  11. We begin to make the body of the peacock. Take a 5 liter bottle and cut off the neck.
  12. Cut off the bottom of a two-liter bottle.
  13. With scotch tape, we begin to attach both bottles to each other.
  14. Since we have unused parts of the bottle (bottom and top), we will use them to create the head.
  15. Insert plates into the upper part of the bottle. This will be the beak. On the side, attach the bottom of another bottle with tape as shown in the figure below.
  16. We also attach the head to the body using scotch tape.
  17. We begin to make feathers on the body of the peacock. We take garbage bags, cut into ribbons 10 cm wide.
  18. Next, the strips must be folded along and rolled several times in half across. Cut the edge so that you get triangles as in the picture.
  19. If we unfold the resulting strip, then we will see "feathers" on both sides.
  20. We start again to lay the strip with feathers, but not along, but asymmetrically. The first layer should be under the second, but the second should not cover the previous one.
  21. We begin to glue the "feathers" to the body, going from the tail to the head. Fasten the fold with tape.
  22. Making the head. We wrap it in a trash bag, leaving a little bag just below the head. Thus, these will be feathers sticking out from below.
  23. We make a peacock crown from the remains of the bottles, tying them with tape to the head. We attach shiny circles to the crown.
  24. Now it remains to connect the body and tail. For this we use a regular rope. Previously, in the tail and body, you need to make small holes through which the rope will pass.
  25. Paint the beak and eyes.
  26. In the lower part of the body, you can make a hole and insert a stick into it. Such a peacock on a stick can be put on a personal plot.

Since the bird is made of bottles, which are lightweight, to make it heavier, you can make a small hole at the top of the body and pour sand inside the peacock. So it will be more stable.

Decorating a summer cottage with original decor items Lately gained immense popularity. The leading positions in the budget landscape design are occupied by handicrafts from bottles. The durable material retains its original shape for a long time, is affordable and incredibly functional. Detailed description the process of how to make a peacock from plastic bottles will help to embody interesting idea into reality on your own.

Materials at hand

The peacock belongs to the noble bird that adorned the royal gardens for a long time. To decorate your own plot with a symbol of happiness, first of all, you will need a lot of patience and free time... Therefore, it is better to start making a peacock, or at least its individual parts, in late autumn, when the main work on the personal plot has already been completed.

There are several options for making a peacock from a plastic container. Some craftsmen take polystyrene as a basis, decorating it with feathers cut from bottles. Others make the entire frame from plastic containers. Everyone chooses the method individually, depending on their own experience.

For our peacock you need to cook:

  • the function of the body is performed by a plastic canister with a volume of 10 liters;
  • PVC pipes are used as legs;
  • to attach the individual elements of the peacock to each other, thick wire will be required;
  • metal mesh as a base for the wings and tail of a peacock from bottles measuring 0.5x1.5 m;
  • styrofoam for the head of the royal bird;
  • plastic bottles of various sizes and colors for plumage.

Noble Bird Crafting Guide

Submitted by step-by-step instruction will help to make an attractive peacock for a garden plot without much difficulty.

When all the elements are collected together and securely fastened together, they begin to paint the peacock. The suggested option is optional. The fantasy of the master is capable of performing miracles.

Advice! For painting, enamel paint intended for outdoor use is optimal. An even shade and no smudges are guaranteed.

At the final stage, they are engaged in the plumage of the peacock's tail. Green bottles are used for it. One large feather and two smaller ones are cut from one container. Each element is given a semicircular shape, after which the workpiece is bent in half lengthwise. The edges of the bottle feathers are cut into fine fringes.

To get a lush tail, you need about 60 long feathers. A peacock made from plastic bottles with your own hands will have the maximum similarity with the original, if you draw or glue an "eye" on the tip of each feather - a round decor.

Feathers are screwed to the net by analogy with the wings of a peacock, work begins from the bottom, gradually moving towards the body. This completes the painstaking work of making the royal bird.
