To knit a skirt you will need:

• hook;

Where to start knitting a skirt?

Before starting any knitting, you need to take accurate measurements and calculate the loops!

You know how the calculation of loops is done.

A sample is knitted, for example, from 20 p. It is steamed. The centimeter is applied. From the data obtained (the number of loops coming per centimeters), make a calculation.

For a narrow skirt, you need the following measurements:

• length of the product;
• waist circumference;
• hip circumference;
• the desired width of the skirt in a step (circumference);
• the level of the most protruding point in the hips (lower a centimeter from the waist down);
• the circumference (volume) below the point of the hips is about 11 cm (lower the centimeter from the waist down to this level).

The more points you measure the volume and its level, the more accurately you can build a pattern. In our case, you can see the size and all measurements in the photo (in brackets with an allowance, a strong-weak fit of the skirt depends on your desire).

Knitting a skirt with a braid on the side

Having connected the sample with the front satin stitch and having made the calculation for the size, you can proceed.

Knitting a skirt starts at the top - with an elastic band. We collect 154 sts. We knit 11 rubles. persons. satin stitch. The number of rows may differ depending on the width of the elastic.

Now you need to connect the typesetting row with the one on the spoke.

We will do this with a hook. We grab the open loop, which is on the knitting needle, then we introduce the hook into the initial row, skipping and picking up the typesetting loop. We knit them in one and leave them on the right knitting needle. In this way, we connect all the loops and we get a ready-made row of loops on the right knitting needle and at the same time a semi-finished belt, into which an elastic band will remain to be threaded.

Divide the loops in half and mark with thread - this is how we divided the knitting into two parts (front and back of the skirt). We knit the entire row (without dividing into front and back) adding loops: in chrome. and each 5. In the place of marking in two loops, then we also add 5 and chrome in each.

First, we knit the back of the skirt with the front stitch.

Advice: insert the elastic right now, leaving the ends on both sides. When the canvas is large, this will be much more difficult.

Advice: make the number of rows 1-2 rows less. Thanks to this "trick", the back of the skirt will not bulge.

All halves must be steamed. It is better if you do this in several approaches during the knitting process.

The laid lines with a thread help to orientate and align the sides while sewing the skirt so that there are no distortions. Tied braid looks a little "empty and boring".

We offer to decorate it decorative stitching crocheted. We fix the thread, make one air. p. We read up two rows and to the left 2 p. In the resulting loop we skip the hook and knit a loop (weakly), one air. n. (tight). Now we repeat this, but with a tilt to the right. In such a zigzag step, we perform a line.

We sew a line on the other side of the knitted braid.

Assembly: add both parts face side inside. We outline or pin off. We sew.

We put the ends of the elastic band on top of each other (1 cm) and fasten. We sew knitted belt parts.

Lightly steam all the seams through a damp gauze.
