To twist the tube, you need to put a knitting needle on a piece of a newspaper sheet at an angle of about 30 degrees, bend the corner and gradually, turning the knitting needle, wind the newspaper on it.

At the end, the remaining corner must be moistened with glue and pressed against the end of the tube so that it does not unwind.

In order to make a long tube, you just need to connect several smaller ones with glue, inserting them one into the other. Paper tubes very convenient to paint in a small rectangular plastic tray with liquid or immerse in a bottle with a fairly wide neck. You can also paint with ordinary brushes, having previously covered the surface on which the tubes are laid out with oilcloth or cling film.

To make a bread bin, you need to stock up on the following materials and tools:

• one hundred fifty-one roll tube from magazines;
• eight newspaper tubes;
• PVA glue";
• scissors for paper;
• two dense cardboard pieces with dimensions of 20 by 28 and 18 by 26 centimeters;
• sheets of thick paper - 2 pieces;
• fabric rectangle with embroidery satin ribbons or other decor - at will. Its dimensions are 24 by 32 centimeters;
• a piece of padding polyester folded in three layers - its length should be 28 centimeters, and its width should be 20;
• paper napkins with a colored pattern;
• glue "Cosmofen".

The corners of the cardboard rectangle can be cut or rounded, depending on the desired shape of the bread bin. On a cardboard base measuring 20 by 28 centimeters, we have twenty-eight tubes from magazines. The distance between them must be the same. The entire surface and ends of the tubes must be covered with PVA glue and a sheet of thick white paper must be attached on top. Then turn the cardboard base upside down.

We take the first separate magazine tube, fold it in half and weave it between the tubes of the base through one, lifting them perpendicular to the base. We attach the beginning of the next one to the end of the working tube, and so on. Thus, in order to form the walls of the bread bin, we need to weave fourteen such rows in a circle.

At the end of weaving, the tail of the tube must be cut, glued to the wrong side and left to dry, fixing it with a clothespin.

We bend the ends of the vertical tubes of the base obliquely at an angle and pass them through the walls of the bread bin between the seventh and sixth braided rows.

For strength, we grease the entire part of the bread bin with glue, we cut the protruding tails of the tubes on the wrong side.

The lid of the product is woven according to the same principle as the lower part, but this time the basis will be a piece of cardboard 18 by 26 centimeters, not which you need to fix thirty magazine tubes.

First, you need to make two rows of weaving in a horizontal plane, and then bend the base tubes perpendicular to the base down.

For a more accurate match of parts during the weaving process, the lid is applied to the base, comparing the shape. After seven rows of regular weaving, the tubes are woven in a "string" style, which forms a neat edge.

To do this, one more tube is added to each working tube, and the vertical tubes are braided in pairs of horizontal tubes alternately. The remaining ends are trimmed and tucked into the edge weave.

After that, the bread bin can be painted in the color of the wood, varnished. We glue the synthetic winterizer on the lid using Cosmofen glue. An embroidered fabric is applied over the padding polyester, the edges are folded inward and all together are also glued along the edges.

The movable upper part was woven 6-7 longer rows than the lower one, for free play. You can weave it on a loom, I weaved it on a cardboard box, fixed it with double-sided tape.

Now we need to bend along the radius. At first I wanted to make a shape in the form of a cylinder with such a radius, But something went wrong. The result is this design.

Preparing newspaper tubes

To make a bread bin made of newspaper and magazine tubes strong and beautiful, carefully prepare working "threads".

It will take a lot of them. You need to twist newspaper tubes like this:

1. Place a knitting needle on a piece of newspaper or magazine at a 30-degree angle (approximate value). Fold the corner and gradually wind the newspaper around the knitting needle, turning it constantly.
2. The remaining corner should be moistened with glue, pressed against the end of the tube. This will prevent it from unwinding.
3. To make a long element, connect several smaller pieces together with glue - to do this, insert them one into the other.

Weaving the bottom

Making a bread bin is a simple but interesting process. The finished product will be both a convenient and aesthetic decorative element. First, the bottom is weaved, and then the walls of the bread bin:

• Round or cut the corners of the cardboard rectangle depending on the shape you want. Then, on the resulting cardboard base measuring 20x28 cm, you need to place 28 magazine tubes - they form a kind of frame. The distance between them must be the same.
• Cover the ends of the magazine elements and their entire surface with PVA glue. Attach a sheet of thick paper firmly on top. Then turn the cardboard base upside down.

• Take the first separate tube, fold it in half, and braid the lying racks. Bend the tubes and lift to a vertical position. Add new "threads" to the ends of a working newspaper or magazine tube as you work.
• With the described weaving, 14 rows must be performed. Having finished working with the walls, cut off the working "threads", glue and secure them with a clothespin.
• The racks need to be bent and passed at an angle through the walls of the bread bin between 6-7 rows of weaving. Grease the work done with glue and wait until it dries to cut off all the ends of the racks sticking out inside the bread bin.

Cover making

To completely weave a bread basket from newspaper tubes, you will need to make a lid for it.

The upper part of the product is woven in the same way as the lower one.

Sequencing:

1. Take a thick cardboard sheet measuring 18x26 cm, about 30 newspaper or magazine elements that will act as racks.
2. Next, go through 2 rows of flat weaving, then smoothly bend all the racks and lower them down.
3. To create a more accurate shape for the lid for the bread box, weaving must be carried out together with the bottom of the product.
4. Sew 7 rows of plain binding and go to rope weaving. To do this, add a paired strip to each working "thread" and weave the racks in turn with each pair. At the end of weaving, hide the racks in the volumetric weaving with a string.
5. A finished breadbox made of newspaper tubes will look even better when covered with mahogany stain. Place a synthetic winterizer on the upper part, and a patch of embroidered fabric on top. Next, fold the edges, fix everything with Cosmofen type glue (based on dissolved PVC).
6. Take paper napkins and carefully cut flowers out of them. Glue them with PVA glue to the bottom of the bread bin, the inner surface of its lid.
7. Places of weaving with a string, oblique strips on the bottom of a bread box made of magazine or newspaper tubes, it is advisable to cover it with acrylic paint, and dark.
8. The final action is to coat the product with colorless varnish. For this purpose, acrylic-based wood impregnation is quite suitable. Wait until it dries completely, and you can use the bread bin as intended.
