We have logically divided all test samples into two parts: up to 20 liters and over 20 liters. Smaller ones are small backpacks for skiing, and from 20 liters - these are already more serious and pumped-up backpacks for ski touring and backcountry.

An original and thoughtful backpack from the American brand Osprey. The backpack is very compact, comfortable, with two main compartments, ski and board mounts, reflective elements and comfortable high-quality accessories. Quite good for both the mountain and the city

The trendiest and most expensive backpack in our entire test range. We took a 32-liter model for tests as the winner of the ISPO 2013 exhibition. Very comfortable fit, access from the back, a bunch of all sorts of cool details and tricky mounts. An ingenious top compartment, quality fittings and extra attention to detail.
Deuter Freerider 26L A classic of the genre in the world of freeride backpacks, the Deuter Freerider 26L is a time-tested backpack by thousands of freeriders. In 2013, the design of the model was updated, that's exactly what we took for review.
The top model of the Osprey rolling line. We asked for a volume of 32 liters as the most optimal size. Probably the Kode 32 is the most functional backpack in our test suite. It has plenty of compartments, back access, great fit, ski and board bindings, reflectors and large waistband pockets.

The outer shell consists of two layers of Oxford 1680D fabric with reinforced yarn. This fabric, in combination with a polyethylene lining, is difficult to cut and almost impossible to accidentally tear.
In the central part, the backpack is lined with artificial eco-leather: a combination of polyurethane and cotton. The material does not smell like leatherette and does not cause allergies. This coating still has a minus: noticeable traces of folds remain on the texture. They cannot be smoothed out, so in a couple of years the backpack will most likely lose its presentation.
The fabric of the back of the backpack has a porous surface that ventilates the back during prolonged wear, and also serves as an additional shock absorber.
The manufacturers claim that the Neosafepack is waterproof, but in reality this is not entirely true: the backpack does not have an official water resistance class and is unlikely to withstand immersion in water. But you do not have to worry about the safety of your gadgets in the pouring rain and even during a short voyage with a backpack on your back. Responsible for water-repellent properties is the inner polyethylene insert and the lining fabric "Oxford 200D". Umbrellas and rain covers are made from such fabric.
The Neosafepack uses YKK zippers and fasteners. The harness straps are tightened through hard plastic clips and have rings for easy adjustment of the length.

Pockets

There are three functional compartments along the bottom of the backpack. The side one is unfairly declared as a pocket for charging a laptop: in fact, not a power supply will fit there for every computer. Optionally, you can use a bottle compartment and a zipless compartment for small items.
Along the back, there are traditionally two wide compartments for a laptop with a diagonal of up to 15 inches and documents.
Neosafepack also has two external wing pockets, which were designed to accommodate the portable charger in the Neosafepack Power modification. Access to these pockets is open without removing the backpack, you can put change or a travel card in them.
Powerbank
The set with the Neosafepack Power and Neosafepack Bike models includes a portable battery with a capacity of 7 800 mAh, with dimensions of 7 × 7 × 2.4 cm. The plastic powerbank has two USB sockets for charging devices.
