Decoupage of Christmas balls with photographs. Master Class.

Registration christmas tree handmade balls.

Decoupage master class with step by step photos. Balls for decorating the Christmas tree in the style of "Our friendly family"

FULL NAME. teacher: Rekalo Tatiana Sergeevna
Place of work: MADOU kindergarten №29 st.Novominskaya, Krasnodar Territory.

With such balls, you can stylishly decorate not only a Christmas tree in a kindergarten group, but also at home, and even make a pleasant and unexpected gift for friends.

This work will be of interest to educators and older children preschool age, teachers of additional education, parents and just people who love to create masterpieces with their own hands.
Target: make balls for decorating the Christmas tree.
Tasks:
- to acquaint children with the decoupage technique;
- to promote the development of artistic and aesthetic taste, creative imagination;
- develop fine motor skills hands;
- to develop the ability to work in a team; enjoy the creation of a common product of labor.

Step 1. Preparation of materials.
Before you start making crafts, you need to carefully think over and prepare all the necessary materials so that at the moment of an active creative process, annoying little things cannot ruin your mood and suspend it (the process) for an indefinite time.
So, we need:
- Christmas balls;
- surface degreasing agent;
- photos, in accordance with your idea;
- napkins with New Year's motives;
- white acrylic paint;
- colored acrylic paints;
- sponge;
- paper towel;
- fine sandpaper;
- PVA glue;
- brush;
- stick holder;
- varnish for decoupage;
- materials for decoration: ribbons, bows, beads, beads, rhinestones, etc.

Step 2. Preparing photos.
This stage of work is directly related to your idea. It can be either photographs of a group of children in kindergarten or school (the question has been agreed with the parents in advance), or a photo of your relatives and friends. There may be not only portraits, but also some subject photos from the family archive.
Photos are collected! Now you need to print them on a printer and do not forget to pay attention to the size of the images. They must match the size of the balls you have. Photos can be either color or black and white. Or maybe you can edit them in a retro style ...
What to print on? Can be used on plain printer paper. It will turn out to be a little rough, but the color will be bright! If you want grace, softness and blurry colors - take a paper towel and print on it. But there is a little secret here: the towel itself will not pass through the printer - it will wrinkle. Glue the edge to the printer paper, let it dry and print!

Step 3. Preparing the base for decoupage.
It's time to pick up the ball. Which one should you prefer: glass or plastic? Both have merits and demerits. It is easy and pleasant to work with glass, but it requires an attentive and gentle attitude towards itself! Plastic in this matter is easier - it will not break. It is this quality that must be taken into account if children are to work with it. But he can start to be capricious when he comes into contact with paint - perhaps the manifestation of spots we do not need, a change in color.

Is the choice made? Let's continue.
Remove the old paint and glitter from the ball. You can use regular nail polish remover and cotton pads for this. If the glitter doesn't want to come off, use fine sandpaper. Gently peel off the glitter and sand the surface to avoid unevenness.

Step 4. Surface priming.
Attach the ball to the holder for easy handling. An ordinary pencil can also play this role. Take a sponge and white acrylic paint and begin to coat the ball with paint with damping movements.

Cover the ball with one layer and let dry well. Then cover again. If the plastic ball began to show annoying stains, make a few more layers of paint with mandatory drying between them.

Step 5. Working with images.
We have the photos ready. Separate unnecessary parts from them using tearing or cutting. Leave only those that will go to work. Apply PVA glue to the ball and glue the image.

I took a ball with my photograph as a sample to avoid any misunderstandings!
On the reverse side, you can decorate the ball with New Year's or winter motifs taken from napkins. If you have a three-layer napkin, then you should exfoliate it and take only the color layer! Glue in the same way as the photo.

Step 6. Working with color.
How to choose a color for the balls? This is entirely your decision, a matter of taste and practical skills. We work in the same way with a sponge and acrylic paints, only now with colored ones. You can mix paints for a marbled effect.

Step 7. Flight of imagination.
It's time to quit! Decorate your balloon with a ribbon, rhinestones, beads and more than your darling wishes!

Ready! You can decorate the Christmas tree!

We made these balls in a group with the children. Each balloon has a photo of a child. Only showing you reverse side balls so as not to violate anyone's rights!
Enjoy your creativity!

Long before the New Year, you can feel the approach of a magical holiday, if you captivate all household members by preparing for it, and as a manifestation of creative imagination, we suggest mastering the New Year's decoupage of Christmas balls with your own hands. A wide range of ready-made Christmas balls in a wide variety of styles is on sale. But it is always more pleasant to hear from friends and acquaintances the praise and admiration for the exclusive outfit of the forest beauty. Decoupage- a popular type of decoration, which prompted many lovers of originality to make new year outfit ate in this technique with their own hands.

Step-by-step instructions for decoupage a ball

Decor for beginners consists in sticking a picture of napkins or tissue paper on the surface of the ball. During further processing with paints or other aids toy looks like hand painted. The source material is Christmas decorations: wooden, plastic and foam.

Preparing the ball for decoupage. At the beginning of work, remove the wire fastener from the ball, fasten it tightly to the rod for convenience. Then use fine sandpaper to clean the glitter from the toys, and wash off the paint by moistening a cotton pad with nail polish remover. Rinse with water and sand again. After such processing, the adhesion of the pattern and the surface of the ball will be better, since it is more difficult to make decoupage on a perfectly smooth base. Next, you need to degrease the prepared material.

The next stage is the primer, which is the base for the pictures. To do this, add PVA glue, about 5 ml, to 20-30 ml of white acrylic paint. Apply such a composition to the workpiece with a sponge and leave to dry, then repeat the application of the primer.

This is followed by the decor of Christmas balls using decoupage technique. Having picked up the New Year's motif in accordance with the size of the Christmas ball, cut it out and glue it to the surface. The best material in this case is napkins, in which you need to tear off the selected pattern from the top paint layer.

Advice! It is recommended to make cuts on a torn or cut out drawing, which will allow the picture to acquire the shape of a toy and avoid the formation of folds, which must be carefully smoothed out.

For gluing, you can use PVA glue, diluted with water in equal proportions. The drawing is glued in one of two ways: you can attach the image and smear it on top with a soft-bristled brush, or apply glue to the surface of the ball, and glue a festive motif to it. In both cases, care must be taken not to tear the picture.

After complete drying, the ball must be opened again with acrylic paint in order to level the line between the background and the pasted image. Everyone chooses the main color at will and depending on colors picture.

After drying, the glue can leave rough marks that need to be slightly touched up with sandpaper. The decor at the final stage depends on the imagination. There are enough options: add sparkles, highlight the contours of the image itself with a thin brush and paint, etc. The final touch is to apply glossy varnish in several layers, each completely drying out. For greater clarity, we offer a color step-by-step instruction on how to decoupage Christmas balls with your own hands with the attached photos and videos.

Master Class

To work in decoupage style you will need:

  • Christmas balls;
  • napkins with New Year's motives (preferably three-layer);
  • acrylic paints;
  • PVA glue;
  • glossy varnish;
  • brushes;
  • sponge;
  • contours;
  • semolina.

An unusual decoration of the New Year's tree will be the do-it-yourself decoupage of Christmas balls with photographs of your loved ones. The process is the same, only instead of napkins - a photo, which is pre-soaked in warm water, and then pry off the edge with a needle and separate the unnecessary paper. There remains a thin image, and glue it. You can make a frame around from rolled up napkins. Then a little bit of fine art and, as a completion, varnish the surface.

Children will enjoy colorful toys. Decoupage of Christmas balls using foam is performed according to the usual scheme, and if you add a few strokes with glitter and apply 3D varnish to the drawings to give them a three-dimensional image, then such foam balls will replace the expected gift from Santa Claus. The training master class with the corresponding photos can be viewed on the Internet.

The use of contour painting will allow you to make even the simplest decoupage original decoration... Or, alternatively, do-it-yourself reverse decoupage. In this case, do all the manipulations, only from the inside of the ball, dividing it into two halves, if the material of the toy allows. Process each of them step by step, as described above. The picture is glued to the inside of the hemisphere, and the general decor can be decorated in accordance with the photo of crafts using the decoupage technique.

Maybe not really new year theme but very attractive balloons with roses. Choose napkins with pink motifs, and ivory paint is ideal for the main background. At the end, decorate the fastening of the toy with ribbons and bows. Such a decoration will add summer colors to the decor of a winter spruce.

All of the above options for decoupage Christmas balls with your own hands are basic information, and having mastered this technique, fixing it with the watched video, you can show your individuality in each craft and make not only a decoration for the Christmas tree, but also a gift souvenir.

Soon the New Year 2015 will come to the house. Naturally, we all want to decorate our Christmas tree, the walls, and the chandelier so that it is beautiful, but we hang the rain and so every year, we lay out tinsel on the windows and cut it out. The Year of the Goat this time suggests using blue colors, but our room is blue as it is, so what can we do? Decoupage of old Christmas balls will help, and we will do it in three very original ways. The first two are quite similar in their performance, but in the third decoupage it will even be possible to depict icicles on a ball so that they will seem alive.

Everything should turn out original, unusual, fabulous. Study all three workshops carefully and, if possible, apply the knowledge in practice. Now let's go!

Decoupage Christmas balls 2015: the first master class

We stock up on materials that we cannot do without.

  1. Two or three large plastic balls with a diameter of about 8 or 9 centimeters, preferably silver in color, and such that they also do not shed.
  2. Two New Year's napkins, thematic, for decoupage: try to find with gnomes, Russian Santa Claus.
  3. White paint, acrylic only.
  4. PVA glue.
  5. Varnish, acrylic, for decoupage.
  6. Fan-shaped rough brush.
  7. Ceramic and glass plate.
  8. Soft foam sponge.
  9. Decorative sequins for decorating products.
  10. Bamboo sticks, long.

The worker process is already in action!

  • The work itself begins with the fact that we cover the surface of the table with a plastic bag.

  • Remove the metal fixing hats from the old New Year's balls.
  • Pour glass white paint into a plate, dip the end of the sponge into the paint.
  • We decorate the ball by holding it by the protruding part.

  • We send to dry on a bamboo stick, which is already in a tall glass.
  • We carry out the same work with the second ball and the third.
  • Dry the first layer for 60 minutes.
  • Apply the second layer, leave to dry, and then the third. Everything will take 2.5 hours.
  • While everything is drying, we prepare the napkins for work, for which we send them under the iron, heated to the state of ironing the nylon.

  • In a ceramic plate, dilute water and PVA glue in a one-to-one ratio, knead to get a uniform consistency.
  • We tear the napkin into fragments and immediately remove the top layer from the napkin.

  • You should have a lot of blanks.
  • We put the first drawing on the ball, with the glue mixture we go over the surface so that the paper does not bubble, then we do the same with the rest of the fragments.

  • Let dry on bamboo sticks.
  • We carry out this work with the third ball and with the second.
  • While the balls are drying on sticks, we put on metal caps-holders and carefully cover the surface of the balls with varnish. 3 layers are enough for a shine.

  • While the varnish is still wet, sprinkle decorative sequins over individual areas of the ball.

As soon as the balloon is dry, send it immediately to the place where it should decorate your New Year's interior 2015.

Decoupage Christmas balls: master class two

Look in the closet for a box with Christmas decorations that you have not used for a long time, it is possible that there are balls with peeled sides, completely unattractive. Now we will make a work of art out of them, moreover, bright, elegant, to the envy of our neighbors, who every year Christmas toys buy.

We will work using decoupage technique, so we will have to be patient. A step-by-step instruction will help to do everything so that the heart rejoices.

  • We remove the metal clip from your old ball, then the loop.
  • We sand all surface irregularities with a metal brush or fine sandpaper.

  • Now it doesn't hurt to prime the entire surface of the ball well.

  • We take a narrow vessel and insert a wooden sushi stick or a bamboo lance into it.
  • We send a ball to them, so that later our hands do not get stained with varnish and paint.

  • Apply 2 acrylic coats of paint on the dried primer so that one layer is sure to dry.
  • We pull out the angel from the napkin (preferably the one that Raphael painted).

  • With decoupage glue, we glue the angel to the surface of the ball, smearing the drawing from its front surface. At the same time, we do not allow paper folds.

  • Let it dry: if small wrinkles have formed, then simply clean them out with the back of a kitchen sponge.
  • We select paint for painting, for example, light gold.

  • We mix gold and silver acrylic to get a glow and gently press this paint into the drawing with a piece of washcloth.
  • We leave to dry overnight.
  • Draw the angel's hair with a golden outline.

  • We take a 3D outline to add volume to the strands.

  • Stroke the inscription Merry Christmas with gold glitter.

  • Add sparkles and paint dots and patterns with glitter.
  • We cover with acrylic varnish, wait until completely dry.

  • We put a clip with a loop in place, thread it into the last cord - and call the neighbors!

Decoupage of Christmas balls: the third master class

And this master class in pictures, and very easy to understand. Learn, don't be lazy. New Year 2015 should be celebrated in such a way that everyone will remember it not only with fun, but also with work. The goat is a gentle creature, so you can create a fairy tale from balls using decoupage technique.

After you succeed, try teaching your friends how to create new year miracle, after all, it is not difficult to arrange a bachelorette party, where everyone not only gathers to arrange a pillow fight, but to imagine themselves as hawthorns, to whom no work is alien.

This is the kind of beauty you should get!

New Year is rushing to us! Vintage decoupage balls!

MK "Christmas Toy".

We need:

1. Plastic blank

2. Rice paper with a suitable subject

4. Acrylic paints

5. Structural paste

6. Antique medium

7. Medium for spill-over effects

8. Water-based liquid bitumen

9. Matt varnish

10. Alcohol for degreasing

From the tools we need:

Brushes,
sponge,
stencil,
palette knife,
sandpaper,
masking tape and
wet wipes.

Completing of the work:

We split our medallion in half and degrease the sides we will be working with. Since I'm going to do the reverse decoupage on one of the halves, I degreased it on the inside.

I pull out the plot I like out of rice paper. I take a half with a degreased inner side and on this side I ALWAYS glue my motive face down with the help of decoupage glue

While this half dries, I take the other - with a fat-free outer side. Use white acrylic paint to prime the surface (up to 2 times with intermediate drying).

After everything dries well, take a stencil and attach it to the half with masking tape. We take acrylic paste (I have a universal company from Goya) and use a palette knife to apply it to the stencil.

We try to do it evenly, but if suddenly it doesn't work out perfectly, don't be discouraged - you can fix it later. Remove the stencil and let our pattern dry well.

I take the half with the pasted motif and apply white acrylic paint over the drawing.

This is done in order to make our picture brighter, to develop it. Try to leave the boundaries of the motive intact, we will then equalize them with the general background. Dry.

After that, I take an antique medium (plaid 17) and a medium for flowing effects (also plaid), mix and use a foam sponge to lightly apply around the picture (remember, all this time we are working with the inner side of the medallion).

Now we make the general background. I needed white, green and ocher acrylics + medium for flowing effects to create a suitable tone.

I also apply them with a sponge, trying to align the borders of the picture with the background so that there is no noticeable transition. Dry.

I take a half with a well-dried pattern. The pattern was not very neat, so I worked a little with sandpaper.

Now I paint half in suitable color(I mixed ocher with white). Dry.

After that I cover it with varnish (I have a matte acrylic varnish from Maimeri). Dry again.

Now we take water-based liquid bitumen (ferrario). I apply it with a brush over the entire surface, trying to better go over the pattern (to get into all the cracks).

Let it dry, literally a couple of minutes. Then I take wet wipe and, slowly, I remove the excess bitumen.

I wiped it - looked - still - wiped it, etc. In general, you decide for yourself when enough is enough. If you suddenly overdid it and wiped off the excess, do not worry - repeat the "procedure" again (we have varnish under the bitumen - it will retain our main color).

After you are satisfied with the result, let the bitumen dry, and then varnish (I personally cover the bitumen with a spray varnish. It does not deform the bitumen itself, does not form drips).

Now we connect our halves. We take cotton lace (you can use a ribbon) and glue it at the junction of the two halves in a circle.

From above we make a decorative bow from satin ribbons and thread the lace. That's all.

Author Olga Koretskaya.

Decoupage inside a ball (or rather a hemisphere). Using elements of the Arte-Franchez technique.

I will give a master class on the example of such a ball.

1. We take a plastic ball of the required diameter.

2. Along the line of the factory gluing, we cut it, preferably exactly along the contour.

4. Sand down all the irregularities at the place of the cut.

5. Paint the background inside the ball. You can also use spray paints, you can swab with a sponge. As you wish. Use the colors according to your motive. I painted it with an aerosol to speed up, but the background, of course, will turn out to be more beautiful with a sponge or a brush, because you can make more shadows, color transitions, tk. the area of the ball in this case is small.

6. I take cotton pads and peel the cotton from the middle of the disc. I put suitable pieces on the bottom of the ball, having previously smeared the place of gluing with PVA glue. I apply it in small layers and sprinkle each layer with varnish (you can use hairspray) or apply liquid PVA (the principle of papier-mâché from cotton wool).

7. We print in advance the motives of the size you need, several copies. I have six in the photo, but I printed more. There is a possibility that it will not be enough in the course of work, for one reason or another. Therefore, it is better to make a larger quantity, the same size. (although the size can be changed slightly, you can also show your imagination here).

8. Cut out from one motive the first level, the farthest. For example, a horizon with trees. You can repeat this level twice, but in such a small space it seems to me that it will be superfluous. Then the second level, we cut out a motif with trees, then a strip with houses. And we glue everything layer by layer into a ball. I glue on Moment rubber glue, sometimes I use a hot gun, all kinds of pads to separate the layers. I sometimes use insulation for linoleum or even this spacer for leveling floors, under a parquet board, but I use this when there are large surfaces. You can use double-sided tape.

9. After you have glued all the layers, add more cotton wool until the lower borders of the pasted motifs are closed with cotton wool and merge together. Cotton wool is glued in the same way as described above. I glued the motifs with a slight downward shift, so my drawing seemed to be refracted. All these roughness can be tinted, retouched with paint to match.

10. From other prints I cut out a central motif with a feeder and birds. There are fewer of them in the photo, I needed more birds. I glued this feeder separately and glued the whole workpiece into a ball. Again I pasted cotton on the joints, gluing and sprinkled with varnish.

11. Then I cut out the spruce branches from the following printouts.

12. Glued them along the edge of the ball, using Moment glue, which I applied neatly along the edge of the ball. I glued the motives overlapping, one on top of the other, to close the cropping points, to align the composition, and just for beauty.

13. After the glue has dried, I cut off all the protruding moments with a clerical knife into the edge of the ball, neatly, precisely and evenly.

14. Applied with contour paint, glitter snow on spruce branches, in the background the strip was drawn like snowdrifts, on the trees and roofs, the color-snow was refreshed.

15. It is dry, you can spray it with glitter varnish (suitable for hair) and covered the whole thing with acrylic spray varnish.

16. You can draw a circle along the edge of the ball with glitters with sparkles for beauty, etc. here exactly as you want and do it.

17. Glue the eyelet for hanging the ball on the hot gun, tie a bow and HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

Mandatory conditions for work! Printouts are best done on thick paper. I did it on watercolor paper. And it's better to make several copies at once. I made 7-8 copies.

Vintage Christmas tree decoration using decoupage technique.

We take a big ball
an ordinary plastic blank of a pale pink color.

The first stage is skinning.

Now you need to degrease the surface

And prime the surface for better bonding with subsequent layers

The ball needs to be covered with two layers of soil, so much so that there are no gaps on the toy ... and besides, the layers should lie evenly, and then the toy will go to rest - dry ...

So, work begins with color. The colors should be chosen light - they are easier to darken or recolor.

We use a suitable decoupage card or napkins.

We pass to the artistic stage.

We take a semi-finished ball with a picture in one hand, in the other - a special sponge swab and the first tint layer is applied with poking movements, then the game begins with color palette, here and there, strokes of different tones are added ... the effect is magical ... as if another layer appears from under one layer ... very similar to laminated glass.

Then comes varnishing in 3 layers with an interval of one hour and subsequent drying for 4 hours. - "The main thing is to twist very quickly and evenly, otherwise the varnish will not completely cover the toy", it is better to rotate by a wooden leg, like a centrifuge.

Before the stage - "diving", we skin the balls, and then we bathe the toys in varnish and put them in rows to dry in special holes.

Next - a magical and very important stage - Creation of cracks with a two-component craquelure varnish.

The pattern is neatly covered with a mesh of many cracks.

The next three stages are applying several layers of varnish, then sanding, again - varnish and sanding, again several layers of varnish, and leave until completely dry.

The final stage was decorating with lace, by the way also aged. After all, lace is taken completely new, but after a couple of hours of witchcraft and really simple manipulations it becomes ancient.

It's simple:

We brew strong and tasty coffee .. no, no .. and don't drink it .. but dip white cotton lace in it .. then dry it, then wash it somewhere and - voila !! The old lace is ready! The process seemed to me pleasant, tasty, aromatic and no less creative. At the very end, the old bow is hoisted on a ball, golden braid and colored ribbons give a zest. I must say that the toys are solemn.

Christmas balls.

We will decorate a plastic ball using decoupage technique. No special skills are required for this. So let's get started!

We will need:

Plastic balls dia. 8 cm.,
- acrylic paints: white, yellow, blue,
- acrylic lacquer,
- three-layer napkins with a pattern,
- PVA,
- sparkles,
- a little decoy,
- contours for glass and ceramics,
- flat synthetic brushes,
- a piece of sponge,
- polytra (I have a plastic sculpting board).

If there are no special blanks for balls, then you can use ordinary balls without a pattern.

We take a ball and a piece of a sponge for washing dishes, put a little white paint on the palette, blot it with a sponge into the paint and smack it over the ball. There should always be paint on the sponge, then it turns out like a snow deposit on a ball.

We do this with all the balls and hang them to dry (1 hour). Here's what happened

While the balls are drying, prepare napkins.

Separate the top paint layer from the whites.

We carefully cut or pull out motifs.

We dilute PVA by half with water and glue the motifs onto the balls. we begin to glue from the middle of the motive and gradually move to the edge.

And we do this with all motives.

For the balls with bunnies, apply a light yellow paint and pop on a white background around the motif.

When the paint dries, cover the ball with varnish.

These are already beautiful balls turned out.

Now we will make them New Years!
We take some white paint and pour semolina into it so that it turns out to be a thick porridge and apply it with a thin brush to the ball in those places where we will have snow.

The ball is ready!
