How to make a kikimora costume with your own hands. How to make a goblin fancy dress How to make a kikimora costume com

Carnival parties in recent times are becoming very popular. Even if you do not recognize the newfangled overseas holidays, the good old ones remain New Year's masquerades or even just birthdays that you want to celebrate cheerfully in beautiful costumes. Moreover, this is relevant both for a child and for adults.

If you want to make some special image, remember about mythical or fairy-tale characters, for example, about Lesh. Sewing or making a Leshy costume with your own hands is quite easy, but you will need both imagination and skill. Then your creation will definitely amaze everyone around you and will be remembered for its originality and uniqueness.

What does the image of a forest owner consist of?

Leshy is a famous character in folk tales. To do it yourself carnival costume Leshy, you need to study the nature and character traits of this character. So you can more successfully get into the image.

We can say that Goblin is the owner of the forest or a forest wizard. He is not evil, like Baba Yaga or Kikimora, because he helps good travelers: he takes them out on the road if they get lost, treats them with his gifts - berries, mushrooms, takes forest predatory animals or snakes away. However, if people come to him (into the forest) with malicious intent and spoil his property, the Goblin can scare them or lead them into the thicket.

In different fairy tales and novellas, Leshy looks differently: now he is small, like a dwarf, an old forest man, now he is huge, like a tree, a giant. He is dressed rather absurdly, but thoughtfully. The Goblin costume includes the following mandatory elements:

  • bast shoes;
  • pants in patches;
  • a hat on one side;
  • gloves or half gloves;
  • hoodie.

To sew a Leshy costume, you will need a brown, green and gray fabric in a khaki shade. It is also worth using faux fur for decoration (it will mean moss), netting, twine. Significant details will not be superfluous: tree branches, cones, leaves, buttons in the form of insects, forest flowers, berries or fruits.

A few ideas for creating an image

Basically, Leshy's carnival costume is more suitable for a child. If one of the adults wants to make himself such a fabulous and unusual image, then he can use the same ideas. However, sometimes on Halloween, Leshy may appear in a real camouflage suit with a camouflage net.

For a child, you can sew with your own hands, both a simple and uncomplicated outfit, and a very thoughtful, original costume of a goblin.

  1. The most primitive option would be to combine an ordinary shirt (you can even use a blouse) and pants (breeches) in khaki or gray-green colors. Try patches and fringes in a soft, chunky fabric.
  2. Cut many wide and narrow strips of fabric and sew them in different parts of the jacket: in the middle, along the edges and at the top (preferably at an angle). Sew small sections in bunches at the edges of the cuffs on the sleeves and at the shoulders. The trousers are decorated with a fringe at the bottom.
  3. You can also use a mesh to decorate individual pieces of clothing.
  4. Do not forget about rain or sparkles to make your Leshy look festive.

Can be sewn and carnival outfit with a hoodie. We make pants according to the same principle. But the hoodie will have to be cut out.

  1. The pattern itself is very simple. You will need to make four rectangles of different sizes: a back, two sleeves and a shelf. It is better to cut the back a little longer than the front.
  2. Goblin is not a character from high society, and this gives some advantages in sewing with your own hands: you do not need to process the bottom of the product and the neck, it will be beautiful if you even wave them a lot.
  3. And it's also good to make a fringe right along the fabric of the hoodie, that is, cut it along the bottom of the sleeves and the product itself.
  4. If you have a long, pretty string, you can sew over the neckline (overstitching).
  5. Pieces of fur sewn in different places of the hoodie - on the back, shoulders, chest, will look colorful.
  6. Leaves, twigs of trees and other forest paraphernalia can be made from felt fabric, or you can buy and sew on ready-made applications.
  7. From faux fur or velvet, sew a belt to tie up a shirt or hoodie.

Additional parts and accessories

The carnival outfit is almost ready, but some more elements are needed to complete the image.

Leshy puts on shoes in bast shoes, but making them can be somewhat problematic, besides, think about the comfort of the child. There are several ways out of this situation.

  1. You can sew overhead covers made of thick fabric that will be worn over regular shoes.
  2. Color ordinary thick socks under the bast shoes, sew strings to them on the sides and put them on gym shoes or slippers. They will need to tuck in trousers and tie the ropes.
  3. Decorate your rag sneakers in matching colors (green, brown, gray, khaki) with a variety of woodland décor.
  4. Cut strips of fabric and sew them onto rag slippers in the form of weaving bast shoes.

If the pants are long, then the socks do not play a role, and if the child is wearing breeches, add green or brown leggings / knee socks to the look.

You can use a wig or just use a headdress. The hat is easy to sew from a piece of faux fur (roll it up so that you get a cylinder and sew it, the top will need to be pinned up with vertical seams, and you can make a fringe along the bottom). In the same way, a hat is made from an ordinary soft tissue, and fur is added if the child has short hair... It is better to make the fringe longer at the back (even if it reaches even to the shoulders), and shorter at the front so that there is normal visibility.

Cut off the fingers of old gloves, decorate them with fur, felt leaves.

Also Leshy can have a large shoulder bag with him. Sew it out of canvas or burlap. There you can put some gifts of the forest or plant and fix soft animals (toys).

Masquerade is a fun event and new year adventure, which its participants expect and experience with special feeling. Beauties and heroes on it are certainly good, but boring. The presence of only these characters at the masquerade is monotonous and typical. Another thing is a funny and a little dirty kikimora. She can easily bring a sparkling note of intricacy and impromptu into any masquerade, and even the one that is held on Halloween. Everyone can make a kikimora costume with their own hands.

We will tell you how to make a kikimora costume with your own hands

Option number 1

In order to quickly transform into the image of a kikimora, you will need green dress... It will be supplemented with the necessary accessories that will add the necessary entourage. You will need a net tulle for a poncho, a hat or a green scarf. With the help of patches of different sizes and shades, they give the dress a Kikimorov look. Do not be upset when there was no one for the image a suitable dress... Jeans or a top will do, and if you show your imagination, then something else.

Now we need to paint the tulle mesh. You should show all your imagination. After drying, you need to attach the tinsel to the mesh by moving the decor together autumn leaves and New Year's rain. When the net is painted, tangled with green threads and decorated with tinsel, you need to cut a circle in the middle to make a poncho.

The unevenness of the edges will only increase future image kikimora. You can start your hairstyle. Hair should be tinted green and backed up. You must put on a hat on the resulting shock. It also needs to be pre-decorated with tinsel, decor and patches. The image of the kikimora is complete. It is guaranteed to be unique at the event.

Option number 2

For this method, you will need organza in beige and salad shades, green silk, satin, tulle, sewing machine and the desire to create a unique image of the modern kikimora. They start with sewing a corset-dress from taffeta or satin, make a base from parts (2 pieces each).

Wedges are made from materials of different texture. The length of the product is determined by the height of the future user. It should be up to the floor. The wedges should be applied one layer after another, adding fluffiness to the main dress. For more volume, you can make an organza petticoat. For this, two skirts of the "sun" cut are sewn together. The sleeves are also made of two layers. The lower one is made of satin, silk or taffeta, and the upper one is torn and light organza.

A cape for a kikimora costume is made of organza or tulle. It is decorated with beads, beads or stones, diluted with the decor of tangled threads and leaves, flowers and grass. The image of the kikimora and the mood will be created by a green hairstyle, decorated with brilliant green and a brooch in the shape of a toad or a spider.

The most famous camouflage clothing for a hunter is the costume of the Goblin or Kikimora. Such names of clothing are associated with the external resemblance of fairytale heroes. So why are camouflage coats so popular with hunters?

Camouflage history

Leshy and Kikimora are kind of the owners of the forest. They are similar to both humans and animals. Both heroes blend in with nature due to their appearance, so they can hide unnoticed. Like Kikimora and Goblin, man strives to become "his own" in nature. Therefore, he creates a camouflage coat with his own hands, which helps to hide in the space of the forest. Such robes carry a certain meaning: the hunter wants to take the form of a fabulous creature and become part of ancient beliefs.

This camouflage has long been popular in the hunting environment. Fortunately, it can be made with my own hands from improvised means. Each person makes such costumes in his own way. Various materials are used to create camouflage: from scraps of fabric to grass. Of course, such a process has a significant disadvantage: labor intensity, duration of creation, a very short service life.

Description of the ghillie suit

Camouflage and Leshy are of several types, depending on the area in which the hunt will take place.

  • Forest... These clothes are dominated by brown and green colors. Such a dress will help to camouflage in the forest.
  • Desert... Here the main colors are gray-green and beige. Thanks to this suit, you can perfectly hide in the desert area.
  • Sagebrush... It is dominated by gray and light green colors. One cannot do without such a suit in the steppe, on a rocky surface.
  • Snow... The main colors of the dress are light gray and white. Such camouflage coats for hunting are able to disguise a hunter in or on a snowy area.

When creating camouflage, it must be borne in mind that the vision of many animals is not monochrome, therefore, a camouflage coat made with your own hands should be multi-colored. In addition, the created garment must not be washed with bleach, since the animals will see a glowing spot, and naturally, the hunt will be unsuccessful.

So, it is advisable to create a camouflage coat that is as realistic in color and pattern as possible, which guarantees an excellent hunting process. If it is not possible to do it yourself, then you can purchase ready-made clothes... Fortunately, domestic manufacturers have created several models with different realistic images. For example, you can see the pictures "Bittern", "Polar Owl", "Woodcock".

If you need to learn how to make a camouflage coat with your own hands, you need to study a lot of literature in order to achieve an amazing result. The Leshy and Kikimora costumes are becoming more popular, although they are quite bulky. But they work even better than spotted suits.

Making a camouflage with your own hands: the subtleties of the process

Many people may need a "Kikimora" camouflage coat, but there is no time and opportunity to purchase such a dress on the eve of the hunt. In this case, you need to use the means at hand.

There are 3 camouflage options:

Of course, the simplest solution is to create a poncho that has such qualities as versatility, versatility, ease of use.

Materials for creating a camouflage coat "Kikimora"

So, pondering how to make a Kikimora camouflage coat with your own hands, you need to determine what material the costume will be made of. You can take a fishing net measuring 1.5 x 3-4 meters. The size of the cell in this case should be 1–2.5 cm. The color of the mesh used does not matter, because the camouflage will be "laid" on top of it.

Next, you need a jute thread, which is used in ordinary bags. You can buy a spool of this thread, but it is advisable to use 6-7 bags. Experts from this field advise choosing the second option, since the thread from the bag is softer, more elastic, thinner.

The third thing you need is dyes. Their selection is a very responsible matter. The dye must be taken such that it is suitable for cotton and synthetic fabrics. There should be several colors and shades: 2-3 shades from the green range, black, brown, olive, yellow.

You will also need 100 meters long and 1 mm thick. You need to purchase one skein. The color should be within white, brown or black shades. This thread is necessary for joining parts. A nylon cord 25 meters long and 3-4 mm thick is also indispensable. It is necessary for strengthening the edges of clothing and creating ties.

Creation of Kikimora's Disguise Robe

So, all the materials are ready. As an example, a process will be shown here that allows you to create a camouflage coat with your own hands in the form of a hoodie jacket.

You need to prepare patterns for the back, front, hood and sleeves. The front and back are made in two identical parts. Their shape should be rectangular. Width - within 1 meter, length - from shoulder to knee. The specified parts are sewn in such a way as to leave a hole for the head.

Since camouflage coats for hunting are not complete without sleeves, you need to prepare two parts rectangular... The length of the patterns should be in the range of 60-70 cm. The width is 40 cm. The sleeve should be spacious enough, since the camouflage coat, made with your own hands, is worn over other clothes.

The hood is created from 4 pieces. You will need to cut 4 elements:

  • part number 1 - 20 x 20 cm;
  • parts No. 2-4 - 20 x 40 cm.

Basically, the hoodie jacket is ready. It remains to "decorate" it with dyed threads.

Dyeing threads and attaching them to camouflage

First, you need to dye small sections of the threads to make sure the resulting color. After reading the instructions, you can start dyeing the threads in This shade is the base for Kikimora and Leshy's camouflage. This color should be used to paint 2-3 skeins obtained from bags; nylon thread and cord; details of a tailored suit.

After staining, everything must be rinsed and dried. This process takes about a day. It is better to dry the threads from the bags away from sources of fire and direct sunlight.

After drying, you need to make bunches of 4-5 threads. They must be folded in half and unfolded for easy handling. When creating the so-called "shag", you need to take into account that one thread should be about 40-55 cm long. The threads folded in half can form a blurry silhouette of the arrow.

To make a camouflage coat with your own hands, you need to properly fix the prepared bunches. The first method is called a "checkerboard". The essence of the method is that you must first fasten the threads with the base color in a checkerboard pattern. Then beams with additional shades are fixed.

The second method involves fixing all the shades that form the camouflage at once. You need to weave according to the following scheme.

It is worth considering that you need to weave the threads from the bottom up.

The dangers that lie in wait on the hunt

Camouflage clothing, no matter how well it works on the hunt, can add its own fly in the ointment. A man dressed in a camouflage robe, whose photo can be seen in the article, will be hidden from animals and birds, as well as from his neighbors. Therefore, there is an unspoken rule: it is forbidden to shoot at a blurred target, at sound or movement, in the dark or twilight.

An experienced hunter in camouflage can disguise himself so that he will not be heard or seen. And the newcomers can be seen a mile away. Therefore, the former are at a disadvantage. Having disguised himself, the hunter must watch the game and what is happening around. If scarecrows are placed, then other hunters can take them for game and shoot in the direction of the hiding person. Therefore, the utmost vigilance must be exercised.

So, the costume is ready. It's time to go hunting. The main thing is caution.

This is a rather unusual outfit for New Year's masquerades, but such an outfit is rare and will certainly distinguish a child from the crowd of snowflakes and princesses.

This fairy-tale character is often found in Russian fairy tales and is called Kikimora swamp or Leshego's friend.

She lives in a swamp, has an untidy appearance, clothes - rags, disheveled hair.

Carnival costume of Kikimora

The kikimora has green coarse hair, a swamp-colored dress, as if in mud or other greenery. You can replace the dress with a skirt with a T-shirt, throw on top something like a fishing net.

Shoes for kikimora can only be bast shoes. Accessories will complement the look - these can be large necklaces or bracelets made of beads of different sizes and colors.

Tips for making long hair

If you go the easy way, then you can just buy a multi-colored wig for a suit, but grew up in it too well-groomed and shiny, they are not quite suitable for the image of a swamp kikimora.

Another point is that it will be uncomfortable for the girl to dance and have fun on Christmas tree with a heavy wig on his head, especially if she has her own long and thick hair.

In this case it is better to use multi-colored overhead strands, but you can do them yourself.

Formation of "swamp" strands

For homemade strands, you will need flax, which is used in plumbing work. It perfectly imitates Kikimora's unkempt and disheveled hair, they are dyed with green paint or ordinary green. For painting, flax is divided into parts and boiled along with the paint. After the strands are rinsed well and dried.

The dried and dyed flax is then formed into strands: long flax fibers are evenly folded in half and attached to the prepared thread with hot glue.

The thread should be completely hung with dyed strands, good and large clips are glued to the edges, which are then attached to the hair closer to the roots. The resulting hairstyle looks very organic and natural and will be a great addition to a carnival costume.

Clothes for the look

The costume of the swamp diva can be either a dress or a T-shirt with a skirt or trousers, a cape is worn on top. The first thing to do is to choose the material for sewing.

Trousers and a T-shirt are best sewn from dense knitwear: velor, it stretches well, which allows you to make the suit skin-tight and form-fitting, also this material looks beautiful. A mesh is ideal as a fabric for a cape; it can be golden or silver. For a suit, a cut in two lengths is enough, it is carefully folded in half and a hole for the head is cut out in the middle.

Important! A sloppy edge can be made around the entire perimeter of the cape; for this, the fabric is cut. This creates a spectacular and extravagant costume.

We sew a skirt

Sewing a skirt is not difficult. For the bottom of the suit, a light and airy multilayer fabric is suitable: tulle, organza, satin. For the skirt, you will need square pieces of any fabric that are sewn together at an offset angle. Sections of fabric are fastened in the middle and a circle is drawn there, equal to the waist + 5 cm.

After that the elastic is sewn on. In order for the product to keep its shape well, you can sew a tulle corset down.

Dress options for a masquerade

To sew a dress, the kikimors take a child's T-shirt or T-shirt, carefully outline the outline of the thing with chalk, and trapezoidal side stitches are removed from the armpits, so the baby will be comfortable walking the dress. Draw around the sleeves of the T-shirt and cut out all the details along the outlined contour.

The skirt of the suit looks nice when it is tiered
, it is sewn in the same way as the bottom for a separate suit: square cuts of fabric are collected and sewn to the yoke.

The top of the suit must be sewn from jersey, this canvas is easy to work with and fits to your figure without adjustments. The skirt can be made of more interesting fabric: tulle, organza with sequins or with an embossed print.

For the splendor of the bottom, you will need a tulle petticoat.

Pattern of trousers and t-shirts

The pattern for the suit will be based on the child's clothes to fit the exact size.

To do this, you need to take the baby's sweater and leggings, they are turned inside out on seamy side and put it on the canvas from which the suit will be sewn, circle things with chalk and cut out.

After all the details are sewn, on the pants the top is turned inside out in order to whip the drawstring into this strip.

Selection of shoes

What is Kikimora without bast shoes? These old Russian shoes will add a special zest to your costume. You can crochet them yourself from thick green yarn. Ten loops are gradually recruited onto the hook and bast shoes are knitted in a circle, this is how the sole is obtained.

After it, they knit three centimeters high, the final action is knitting the sock and closing it. A 60 cm long tape is passed in the middle of the heel, so that later it can be tied to the child's leg up to the knee.

Important! Bast shoes will ideally match the costume if they are made in green, yellow or marsh colors.

Creative accessories

Accessories will add originality and charm to the kikimora costume. It can be necklaces and beads. green tint, a headband with a frog, a large hat with brim and a veil, a belt with leaves, threads or New Year's rain - all these details will give the costume a complete look.

Important!
Large and multi-layered bracelets and long earrings will look great.

First of all, what kind of costume the child should decide, let him be the generators of ideas for decorating and decorating this carnival outfit.

In mythology, you can find an ambiguous description of this evil spirit. Either this is a night deity of restless disturbing dreams, now the spirit of a child who died unbaptized or his parents cursed him, then a little woman - all this is considered a kind of house spirits.

But for some reason, probably thanks to the cinema and film adaptations of fairy tales, Kikimora became a swamp, a friend of a devil and a water one, and more in our minds it is represented as a swamp spirit, a kind of devil with an unpleasant face, unkempt, twisted, ugly old woman, with protruding disheveled hair, unkempt and dressed in rags. Here is the suit exactly Kikimora swamp I will do.

Hair

Highly important detail this suit, and maybe even the main one is hair... I had to tinker with them, but the result was worth it.

So, Kikimora's hair should be unkempt, shaggy, unkempt, slightly green with mud (Kikimora is from the swamp). Those green wigs that are available everywhere do not fit this description. They are very silky and not natural looking. A wig like this is more suitable for a doll, but not for Kikimore.

Therefore, the most suitable material that I have found for a wig is sanitary flax.

Natural fiber, easy to dye and can be easily found in the home improvement market, in home improvement stores or in plumbing stores. It is not expensive. One drawback is that it has an unpleasant odor. But this smell practically disappears after painting. For a suit I had enough of such a twist of four twisted strands.

I dyed three strands in green colors one I just boiled it in clean water with the addition vinegar about 10 minutes and rinsed well with Lenore.

For painting, I think they will do any dyes- dyes for wool, for cotton fabrics (aniline dyes). But it is clear that the demand for these dyes is not high, since I have not found such dyes in the nearest stores, where they used to be for sure. Therefore, I took advantage of food coloring that are used to paint Easter eggs.

We take the most inferior saucepan, pour 1-1.5 liters of water, dissolve the paint and immerse three strands in the solution.

Bring to a boil and add 4-5 tablespoons of 9% vinegar.

Boil, stirring slightly, for 20-30 minutes. At this time, the kitchen needs heavily ventilated b or include hood, because, if you have not forgotten (I warned at the very beginning), the smell is still the same.

I would like to draw your attention to the form in which to dye the flax strands.

If left twisted, the colored strands will be unevenly colored. If the strands are straightened, the fibers will become very tangled, and it is more difficult to work with them in the future. I dyed twisted strands, and the resulting uneven color, in my opinion, is even more interesting:

After the strands have boiled, it is better to leave them in a solution with paint until they cool, and then rinse well. I added Lenore to the last rinse. I dried it on the floor near the radiator on the newspaper. They were completely dry within 24 hours. The dry colored strands look a little stuck together, but don't be intimidated by that.

I decided to make not a wig, but overlays. Firstly, it is faster, and secondly, the daughter has her own long blonde hair, and when mixed with green flax fibers, a very interesting look is obtained.

To make overlays, you need to pull a thick thread, for example, between the legs of a chair.

We separate thin strands of flax from the main strand and fix it on a thread in this way:

we fold a strand of flax in half and start it by the thread.

We drag the entire strand into the resulting loop.

We try to tighten the knot as much as possible.

We continue to fasten the strands until the patch reaches twice the length of the hairpin on which this strand will be attached. For the strand to be fluffy, you will need to fold it in half, so the width of the finished strand should be twice the length of the hairpin.

To attach the strands, you will need tight hairpins and a glue gun.

The width of the finished strand should be twice the length of the hairpin.

Hairpins must be selected very carefully, choose the tightest so that they do not slip out of the hair.

I chose these. I just tore off the bows.

Cut the prepared strand from the thread, leaving small ends. We tie these ends with a simple double knot.

Using a glue gun, glue the strand to the hairpin.

I made only six of these strands and one short one for the bangs.

I attached the strand for the bangs to another hairpin, which is more invisible on the head.

This is how the strand is fixed on the bangs.

To make the hairpins on the overhead strands invisible, we hide them under real hair strands.

Brush up real hair and mix it with linen false strands.

If the child has short hair or it does not match the color and structure at all for this image, then you can sew a wig.

Wig can be done by analogy with cheap masquerade wigs: sew a hat from the mesh, and attach flax strands to the mesh. They can be sewn on or tied. You can attach it in the way that I will use below when decorating the cape.

To understand the principle, consider a wig like this.

The wig consists of a cap sewn from a mesh. An elastic band is sewn at the bottom along the contour.

Strands of hair are sewn on top of the hat.

This is what the finished wig will look like.

How to sew a dress

I sewed a dress according to a pattern from a magazine "Burda" No. 10 for 2003 model 151... The magazine in pdf format can be downloaded in the archive.

I lengthened the shelf and back to the desired size

We stitch all the details, process the seams. We sew the bottom of the sleeves and dresses with a Moscow seam.

I processed the neckline with a bias tape and sewn on a button.

It turned out like this dress.

If you sew such a dress from coarse linen or burlap, then you could not sew a cape. But our dress is very fancy for Kikimora. Therefore, we sew a cape.

How to sew a cape

I sewed the cape from the net. I used the same model as the basis for the cape pattern. 151 from the magazine "Burda" №10 for 2003... Let's just change the pattern a little. To make the cape easier to dress, we make a dropped shoulder and lower the armhole.

We make changes to the pattern of the front. Now we have it one-cut and slightly flared to the bottom. Lower the shoulder line and lower the armhole. I took the dimensions "by eye". The green outline is the main pattern, the purple one is the changes made.

We also make changes to the pattern of the back.

We adjust the shape of the sleeve pattern.

We cut out the details and grind them down. I did not process seam allowances and open edges. Only the neck was processed with a bias tape. There are some nuances here. Since there are quite large cells on the mesh, we sew the inlay not along the very edge, as usual, but deeper. So you can be sure that we will capture the entire net, and it will not crawl out from under the inlay anywhere.

Now we cut off the excess, focusing on the fold line in the center of the inlay.

We fold the inlay and stretch it to the edge.

The tape should be cut a little longer than the edge of the neckline so that it is enough for the eyelet. We form a loop and sew on a button.

Now we attach to the mesh "marsh mud", or rather, all the same strands of flax. To do this, we separate a small strand, fold it in half and stretch it with a hook into the mesh cell.

We stretch the ends of the strand into the formed loop.

And tighten the knot.

Thus, we fix the rest of the strands, evenly distributing them along the bottom of the cape and on the sleeves.

Choose the frequency of fastening the strands yourself.

That's what I did.

The cape is ready!

This is how a cape on a dress looks.

Kikimora Swamp's costume is ready!
