DIY clutch step by step
1. We transfer to paper the patterns of the one-piece wall and the side insert. 1 cm seam allowances are included.
2. We cut out one part of the wall - from the upper fabric, non-woven fabric, padding polyester, lining fabric and sealant; two parts of the side insert - of the same materials, except for the seal.
3. We glue the parts from the upper fabric with non-woven fabric.
4. Sew the glued parts with padding polyester, stitching along the cuts, and then quilting with arbitrary curly stitches.
5. The detail from the seal is reduced by 1.5 cm in all sections and cut along the top line (see pattern). Then, gradually removing the protective film, we glue the seal on the quilted one-piece wall.
6. Sew parts with lining: one-piece wall - along the oval line of the valve, inserts - along straight cuts. We turn it over to the front side.
7. We wash out the oval edge of the valve, making cuts, and sew a finishing line. Along the top line - tuck and sew by hand.
8. Connect the remaining cuts with a line and sew two lines along a closed contour at the locations of the button parts. This restriction will not allow the button to come off and damage the soft structure of the clutch when opening and closing.
9. Sew on the details of the button.
10. We connect the side inserts with the one-piece piece by unscrewing the lining on them.
11. Turn the seams towards the inserts and hide them under the lining, securing them with blind stitches.
Making a flower for a clutch
1. Cut out two pieces of fabric 9 cm wide and 90 cm long.
2. Fold each in half, sew and turn out through the gap of the seam, iron it out.
