Wrap vest pattern
An interesting model, decorated with wide stitching and pockets with flaps, highlighted at the waist by a wide belt.
The vest is sewn from thin dress fabrics. The lining is recommended to be made of natural viscose.
The dress is the basis for modeling.
Front detail
We close the chest dart by making a cut, as indicated in the drawing. We transfer the dart at the waist - see drawing. We draw a curved line of the relief, cut along these lines.
Raise the shoulder line by 1.5 cm. Draw a new outline of the shoulder. Set aside the desired values from the center of the front to draw the side and lapel. Along the side seam from the waist, lay down 22 cm, draw a dotted horizontal line. We measure 8 cm from it, 4 cm from the center to the left, connect all points with a curved board line.
In addition, we draw the edge, the border of the bend of the lapel and the hem of the front armhole (width 4 cm).
We mark the line of the pocket in a frame, draw a valve according to the pattern (width 6 cm), rounding one corner.
Back
Extend the shoulder up by 1.5 cm, round the line. In the center of the front from the roll-out, measure up 1.5 cm. Draw a concave line (= one-piece collar rack).
We draw a relief seam along the lines of the dart of the waist. Measuring 22 cm down from the waist, we draw a line of the lower edge of the product.
In addition, we reshoot the back neckline facing and the backrest armhole facing (width 4 cm).
Cutting details from main fabric:
- the middle part of the shelf - 2 children;
- side part of the shelf - 2 children;
- the middle part of the back - 2 children;
- the side of the back - 2 children;
- pick-up - 2 children;
- pocket valve - 4 children;
- back neck facing - 1 pc. with a fold;
- back armhole edging - 2 children;
- edging of the armhole of the shelf - 2 children;
- belt - length 90 cm, width 10 cm (ready-made 5 cm);
- facing pockets - length 14 cm, width 3 cm - 4 children;
- blanks for belt loops - length 8 cm, width 3 cm - 4 children.
Cutting details from lining:
- front halves (without hem and armhole trims) - 2 children;
- back (without facing the neck and armholes) - 1 child. with a fold.
Do not forget to provide for allowances at the seams of 1.5 cm, along the lower cut of the back - 4 cm.
You also need to cut out a burlap pocket 10 cm long and 15 cm wide - 4 children.
We sew a vest - a simple technology for beginners
We duplicate the shelf gasket, the back roll-out facing, the armholes, the outer pocket flaps, the edging for the framed pockets, the hem, the belt.
We sew embossed seams on the details of the front. We iron out the allowances. We make framed pockets with two trims and flaps.
Sewing the center seam of the backrest, ironing out the allowances. We sweep and cut off the side seams, leaving the seams on the shoulders open.
Having previously swept away, we cut off the embossed seams on the lining. Sew on the trims of the armholes from the main material. Sew the backrest and the back roll up to the lining. We sweep and grind the side cuts, leaving an open area (15 cm long) for turning out. Leave the seams on the shoulders of the lining open. We fold the lining and vest from the main fabric with the right sides to each other, process the armholes, neckline and sides with one-cut edging.
We turn the vest through the bottom to seamy side... Accept and grind the lining to the bottom cut. We turn the product inside out, iron it, stretch it along the sides and the bottom edge, stepping back 4 cm. Sew the section of the seam left open with blind stitches.

Pattern of an original vest without a back

To make a patchwork vest, we need:
- fabric with floral print, linen 100%, width 1.4 m - 0.5 m;
- pieces of fabrics of different colors;
- pieces of skin;
- decorative tape for finishing red - 0.5 m;
- decorative tape for finishing in black - 2.6 m;
- jewelry stones for decoration;

How to sew a patchwork vest
We start by making a full-size pattern.
Each square in the figure should have a side of 5 cm.
Next, we sew two canvases for the front shelves, combining scraps of fabric and pieces of leather. In this case, it is important that the halves of the front of the patchwork vest are symmetrical. We cut out the shelves, sew on a decorative tape.
We cut out the details of the back from linen.
Trim the center seam on the back, sew the side seams of the vest.

Building a basic pattern
In the upper left corner of the format, put a point (∙) A. From it, put the DSB downwards, to the right we measure the POI plus 3 cm by loose fit... We mark (∙) A1.

Set aside 1.5 cm upward (constant value for all sizes). We draw a curved line for the roll-out of the back.
Through (∙), located at a distance of 1.5 cm, draw a line of the shoulder along the measurement down the perpendicular.
To build the line of the armhole for the back, we divide the PG into three equal segments and draw the profile of the armhole, as shown in the figure.
Move the upper (∙) A1 2 cm up. From the received (∙) we measure to the left and downwards by 5.2 cm (= 1/3 POSH + 5 mm = 5.2 cm). We draw a rollout of the front.
To build the shoulder line in front, we transfer (∙) P1 down by 1 cm. Through this (∙) we draw the shoulder line according to measurements.
To build the armhole in front, find the center of the segment P1G1 and draw the curved line of the armhole, as shown in the figure.
To build the lines of the side seams, put aside 1.5 cm in both directions and draw the seam lines.
Important note
Check the conformity of the OT by pattern and by measurement. On the pattern, the OT should be 1 - 2 cm larger.
